a couple of young lady's committed suicide by standing in front of a train near my house, ive allwes been a strong supporter and donor of suicide prevention, ever since issues ive overcome in my past, i ask you as well to lend your support and or voice to the cause.
http://www.afsp.org/ is a good place to learn and or donate, i believe acknowledging and supporting a person in need is perhaps the fastest cure

I understand what you mean, however, regardless of the purpose, you're advertising a website and are asking members to help your purpose through it, which is against the rules.
I'm going to close this topic, but leave the link there, in case anyone's seriously interested in helping (i shouldn't but this one post doesn't seem as bad as with spambots)...still, i believe that those willing to help, are already helping in their own ways.

I'm unlocking this since it's advertising a good cause (edited the topic name). I think it's a disturbing trend in the U.S., especially in our youth. Tip of the hat to you BlueHero.

They probably use the money for centers, counseling, awareness, adverstising, maybe camps or something like that. To prevent suicide.
Trying hard not to be pessimistic.

This is exactly what it does - funds preventive measures.

Sorry, I wouldn't donate to this... ever... Anyone who's serious about committing suicide wouldn't go to a center because they've already made up their mind. The people who DO go are just attention whores.

Thats a fairly ignorant stance. Not everyone who commits suicide wants to die. Some people feel its there only way out, some people do need help. Some people want help, a reason to live. They want to be cheered up. They may turn to suicide when they feel there are no other options, this company provides for additional options.
Some are attention whores, not all. Even then, maybe the attention will stop them into falling into the position where they truly want to kill themselves.

And this is why Atoli needed counseling.

What Tolby said. A person who's considering suicide usually exhausts all options before they decide on actually doing it. They only do it when they absolutely give up all hope.
You have, once again, proven that you are so out of touch with the real world that you have no position to be giving your opinions on anything.

and you've proven that by not experiencing it firsthand and coming out of it, you have as much say as erranty does.
everyone pitied me, i got counselling from counsellors i paid, i took pills, but they never helped.
then my family and friends decided to help, i felt cared for, i felt people cared about me with no need to pay back. the only people that can help are those. counselling and drugs is waste of money.
attention whores go on tv about it, erranty. like the dr drew show.

I HAVE experienced suicidal depression. Don't assume anything about me, you f*ckhead.

Not everyone who's suicidally depressed has friends and family to help them, jackass. In my case, my suicidal depression was caused by an inability to contact any of my friends and extreme abusiveness of my family. Don't assume for even one second that you can generalize suicidal people.

cool story, bro.
i'd give you the biggest chapter novel ever if it weren't for psp not allowing me to exceed it's writing limit.
except for friends on your part, i was in the same problem. my parents 'abused' me, though in that time i was younger and took things more sensitively.
when i was 'diagnosed' with suicidal deppression, i took counselling, pills, the works. that never works and never lasts.
what did take me out of it was my family, and my friends try help me out. i felt that i was loved. cont.

How about you stop while you're behind, Riouki_Myssaki.
EDIT: Alright, you edited your post, so I'll do the same. Now you're not going to get sh*t from anyone since you actually sincerely opened up in a serious topic rather than saying some short sarcastic remark.
Anyway, regarding the topic, I think it's great that you're gathering support for such an important issue, BlueHero.

cont. i felt loved even more by my friends, and my family who did me wrong. i felt happier than before.
now, i never implied people having such connections, though those who did didn't think of it beforehand before being too late, if death could be that.
jeez, it's like having a four year old cussing me out on xbox live for killing him on halo.

And you really shouldn't be assuming that everyone is the same, either... I can kind of understand their reactions.

Not to mention the disrespectful remarks and vulgar comments that were just expressed in this topic are ironically one of the reasons why so many people, preferably young teens, attempt to commit suicide in the first place.

@Riouki - Its actually nothing like that at all. Its more like you're the four year old getting yelled at for saying stupid ****.
Just because counseling didn't help you doesn't mean it can't help anyone. The world doesn't revolve around you, what effects and does not effect you doesn't apply for the entire human race.
You are saying you never implied people have those connections? Then what is the point in saying
the only people that can help are those. counselling and drugs is waste of money.
Are you saying if your friends and family aren't like a 90s sitcom and willing to help you then you are **** ed? Yes, family and friends do work for middle school angst, however it doesn't work in every situation. A lot of the time it isn't even available in every situation, including middle school angst. Though I do agree for the most part drugs are a waste unless a person has serious mental or chemical imbalances. Even if that is not the case, I would rather have a happy friend who may turn their life around and not need the pills in the future than a dead friend.
Go troll a soup kitchen or an orphanage.
