I love Nightwish, it's actually my favorite band of them all. Epica is pretty awesome too.

I also listen to Wolfmother and Within Temptation, which i suppose they fall into the same "range" of metal too.

I suppose it counts as one...after all, it IS Symphonic in every way, even more than the actual "Symphonic" bands like Nightwish XD
Though Apocalyptica is basicly Metallica played with cellos...and Metallica is Trash Metal....so, in that case, Apocalyptica would be exactly "Symphonic Trash Metal" o-o' lol

I have a question for you all, dose music affect you emotionally? Like for instance, with me and my girlfriend Apocalyptic is out "romantic" Non... PG-13 kind of music >.>; -cough- When either of us hears it, we both get in loving moods. The same is true for a number of other songs. But its also true that songs like "mein herz brennt" from rammstein has a different effect on me. Is it the same with all of you?

Absolutely, I live my life by the music I listen to, in my opinion music is the highest form of art. If a song was meant to be sad, happy-go-lucky, angry I feel all the emotions, then again im one of those weirdos who gets emotional over music >_< What kind of music do you listen to in particular, I could probably give you a few bands to listen to that have deep emotional ties, I could probably count more bands like that than there are cells in my body. So either message me or post on the board.

I love music, however, instead of the music "changing" me, the music i listen to entirely depends of my mood. Depending of my mood, i might want to listen to more "active, loud, fast" music, or "down, slow, emotional" music, or some kind of dance music, epic music, music that can inspire me, etc, and so i look for listening to that music. If i'm listening to something that doesn't correspond to my mood, my mood remains and just can't enjoy the music, i get bored of it and i just can't seem to like it...it's like i'm listening to just random noise while my mind is somewhere else.

Sure, if i'm a rock metal concert, i'll get all metal-like, with screams and headbanging, or if i'm in some place where there's dance/techno music, then i get all dance-y like, but that's more for the whole enviroment and general mood than the music itself. My mood changes the music, not the other way around.

I don't really like any of her work either. I like "epic" music, its all sound, its raw emotion in musical form. That's what I look for in music.

you don't think being record breaking and widely influential, not only in the music industry but the fashion industry and people's lives epic?

There's a difference between being influential and being epic. You can be a giant copycat and still be epic, while you can be original and even influential and not be.

Besides, I don't like her anyways. At first it was just "meh, whatever" like I'd listen to her if she came on the radio, but some Gaga fanatics I know (one of which had to work gaga into 80% of the words in his sentences, for example) drove me absolutely insane and I can't stand her anymore.
