As I stood by the grave on that cold,
winter day, my heart had sunk into sorrow
and dismay.

I ran my hand across the grey stone, when
the wind had picked up, and let out a moan.
"My dear," said I, "how I miss you so." The rain
had suddenly abrupted his flow.

I looked from behind, and then towards the sky,
as a raven gazed upon me, then continued to
fly. Then from my side, a figure by a tree. It resembled
a man, but it was difficult to see.

The man looked familiar, well dressed and well mannered.
"Who are you?" said I, then he gave his answer. "You continue
to weep and sob through the hour, yet deep down inside, you
wish for more power..."

Surprised I was as I released a slight gasp, when the man
had came closer, till I was withtin his grasp. "Your enemies..."
said he, "You want them to suffer. To watch their deaths, each
worse than the other."

"What do you mean? why say such things to me?" He then
gave a smile as wide as the sea. "You thirst for revenge, a
thirst as thick as mud. In exchange for mere valuables, they
gave you her blood."

"Stop!" said I, as I dropped to my knees, covering my ears,
feeling so displeased. The man had turned, facing her grave,
with a look as hollow as the deepest of caves.

"And now she lies there...Alive no more. Gone is the center
of your life's true core." "STOP!!" said I, "Stop spouting these lies!!"
I began to rise, tear-filled were my eyes. I looked around, but
the man was gone. I then held my head, "Just what was going on?"

I walked to my truck, and opened the door, then I spotted something
small, lodged withtin the floor. A knife was encased, with a letter written
in blue. Slowly I read, "The rest is up to you..."

It's been awhile since I've seen some poetic writing here. Good stuff.
