Metroid: Other M

You heard me. Those who remain faithful to what is unarguably, one of the best game series ever created, have been rewarded with something that is not just pure eye-candy, but something with a story to rival Fusion's. And that's saying something.
Metroid: Other M, is a game which will take place within the time space between Super Metroid and Metroid Fusion. It will give the reasons for Adam Malkovich's death, a whole ton of new characters, and even features a black guy as one of the main characters - No joke there - as well as.. ZOMG. SAMUS ACTUALLY SPEAKS IN THIS GAME :0000
in terms of other new features, from what I've seen in the trailers, you will be able to switch from first person to 3rd person gameplay whenever you feel it's necessary. This is a HUGE leap from the Prime series of games, where all you could do was attack what you could see in your visor. Yet another thing that will be present in this game is a melee combat feature... which means; yup, you guessed it. Samus will be able to fight as if she were in Super Smash Bros, effectively removing the combat limits that she had in every other game.
The usage of beams and melee attacks can be combined to perform close to OP'd combos, and enable you to finish of enemies with more style than ever before. Not a necessary gimmick, but it sounds like a hella fun system to play around with.
Finally, I leave you with 2 little notes, and a link to the E3 trailer.
1- Obviously this game is going to be a Wii exculisive title. However, this isn't a limit at all. heck, if you get a Wii for this game, you could probably load up on all the other awesome releases coming out for it within the next year, such as MH3 - I still have a fagottry for it -
2- Just for a fun fact; DoA/ gaidenfaygs will probably spring for this game. why persay? It's being developed by team ninja. TEAM FRIKKING NINJA. WORKING ON A METROID TITLE. FOR THE WII. Knowing what these guys are capable of, I'm expecting that they'll literally push the Wii to it's very boundaries while in the process of testing the first level. That can only lead to awesome.
here be the trailer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TNxeCHpp08E
my overall verdict? Game looks awesome, sounds awesome, and even has a supposedly awesome storyline, but we dunno if it will play awesome... so until then, we'll have to assume it will be pure awesome.
