Starting next month, Naruto Shippuden, the second part of the Naruto series storyline, will air on the Disney XD channel according to VIZ Media. At first, I really wanted this series to move to Adult Swim, mainly because the dialouge and action of the Shippuden series pretty much surpasses "family viewing" standards, but to move to Disney XD? A channel that I don't even have? That really sucks for me. VIZ Media really should have thought about this more. EPIC FAIL..X(

I honestly could careless about the Naruto anime(and nearly Manga at this point) due to the fact that the first half of an episode is a recap of the last episode, and the last half is a recap of what happened two minutes before hand.

Um, so you're not just gonna go look it up online and avoid the terrible english VA's?

You should see some of the reactions to this news over here. Pretty ridiculous.

As far as the show itself, well I don't give a damn about Naruto, but since it's so popular among younger (and older) boys I can see why Disney would make such a move.

lesbians in non100% yuri animes is pure fanservice. and I wish it would stop.

I will watch the dub on Youtube, or Hulu to see how its is. We can already tell that much of the action, and swearing will be taken out. I was hoping they could be it on Cartoon Network, but lately its not doing so well. They piss off many when they took Toonami, and the most of the shows suck right now. I figure at least with CN, or Adult Swim that we will see Naruto with some swearing, and more violence, but no its very screwed up now.

Well, do YOU speak fluent Japanese? I think not, because the swearing is in there. I've met some of the production crew of the Naruto dub, and how they talked about translating from Japanese to English and how its hard to find words to replace the curse words.

Uh, have you watched or read Naruto? The Hidan/Kuzaku Arc is something that isn't for children. Hidan curses his head off(after his head was cut off). People start dying left and right. I don't know where you got the notion that Naruto was for children, as last time I checked, I didn't see anybody impaling there arm in someones chest during my Saturday morning cartoons as a kid.

It isnt. Its done by Viz. But its overseen by Disney, as its their channel its being shown on. Disney doesn't like something, they ask them to change it.

Shonen is aimed at 10-18 year olds.

Yu-Gi-Oh is also Shounen, and just being on WBKids had it subjected to heavy edits. Ever seen the first season of Yu-Gi-Oh? Or that one episode where Yami lights a man on fire and watches him burn? Or how about when Bakura forcefully ripped out Pegasus' Millennium Eye? Where's the dialouge that stated that Kaiba killed a man just get his hands on one of his three Blue Eyes?

Shounen may be targeted at males age 10-18, but I don't think its aimed at children, more like preteen to teens. And last time I checked, sixteen year olds(I choose this age as it is the age of Naruto in the discussed thread) weren't considered children, but young adults.

havent bothered to read the english, non-fansubbed version yet, but im pretty sure that thats not in it.
