Hi I want to learn how to fight with a kitana but I cant seem to find a good website or book that I could use as a training manual something that would show and explain how to do moves and go over training techniques. If anyone knows of a good website I could use ide appreciate it thank you.

okay here are reasons why you shouldnt have even thought about having a katana as a weapon
1. nowadays if you walk ouside men and woman in blues well send you to a dark depressing place.
2. if you get into a fight, your gonna get shot not slashed my a katana.
3. you are not a ninja, nor ever be

First I don’t plan on carrying it around if u were intelligent you could have figured it out and not wasted internet space in that useless post that doesn’t answer my question to begin with second I only want to learn because I have the time and it will be a good thing to devote myselph to for a while and grow as a human being. I’m obviously not going to walk around the streets looking to duel someone. Please if you don’t have common sense ide like to ask you not to reply to my posts thank you.

Even if you find a good website that teaches you how to use a katana and the way to do techniques and all, EVEN with videos, i would definetly recommend you to just find a teacher or someone who's skilled at it and willing to teach you instead of try to find help on the internet. Sure, you can find the exact way to do things, but if you do it without help, you'll just end up hurting yourself and learning to do nothing except copy what you see...the actual katana learning/teaching involves far more than just doing cool moves to slash people, and there are many things, both in theory and practice, that are useful for everyday's life and that you will learn with katana lessons and only with a teacher (like how to hold certain objects, focus your strenght in a point, move your arms, etc). Not like i've had any teaching myself, but that's how i see it is, and i see that, if you try looking for help on the internet, the best answer you'll get is the address and phone number of a place where you can get lessons...these kind of teachings aren't just books or manuals that people can upload and share with everyone.
Oh, and learning how to use the katana has nothing to do with samurai training. Not like i know what's a samurai training myself either, but if you really want that...then go to Japan and ask around for one. And be ready to suffer, for i'm sure that learning how to be a real "samurai" it's not like simply going to school to learn how to drive a car XD

I know it will be a lot of hard work and dedication I just cant afford a teacher rite now so I was looking for a cheap way to get started and learn some basics until that time comes if that time comes I do have the time to devote to it though.

hey Jin here's an idea use you time on something useful, like going to a shooting range and increasing your aim (._.) what fun about swinging a sword around?
another idea
instead of wasting you time on the Internet to learn to slash, how about you start fencing and have some fun beating other people.

No? shi….. Maybe not. And you’ll never get laid especially if you keep using words like weeaboo. I think what you really need is a life. Here’s a link I think will be useful for you
http://www.lifecoach.com/ I think u should probably step away from the computer and talk to real people face to face for a change then you might not be so much of a loser. Even though you were useless to me and probably everyone in your life to I hope that I was able to help you in some way.

Wow >_O don't fight fire with fire, you fight fire with water
On AT's defense, is not on dothackers 24/7 and actually has a partner in real life
On Jin's defense.. I know AT can be irritating and mean but just try to ignore if it bothers you so much, if AT makes you fee frustrated AT wins

I have a gun license and am a member to a gun club shooting is a hobby of mine already I own 2 guns a glock 23 and a Savage 10GXP3 hunting rifle. I am an avid hunter and go to the gun clubs range a couple times a week because ammo is free. Fencing dose not interest me this dose do you people really have nothing better to do with your lives than try to put people down on the internet. I feel sorry for you so I don’t really care what you think. Its sad you are that pathetic and alone you have to get your golly’s off like that and again I feel so sorry for you.

hey i was trying to give you ideas ._.; its sad that all you can do is think that people who post on there free time have no lives. Jeez, you'd think that people would try and make freinds instead off just blurting out their random insults and facts about there pointless lives, cause' i really, really couldn't care less about the type of guns you own, you don't need to go into so much detail.

I’m sorry if I misunderstood you but the way you were saying things in your posts gave me the same impression as aura over there. If you truly meant well then I apologize and hope we can indeed be friends but if u just want to be an ass like some for mentioned people then you will get the same in return.Everyone I have delt with on this site thus far have been very helpful and good people like mirus. up until this post i have not had a problem with anyone.

Learning how to use a sword (a katana, in your case) it's not really something you can learn just from reading books, manuals and watching videos; sure it'll probably give you some tips but that's not all you need. As Sorrow said, you need a teacher/instructor, just like with any other sport. My knowledge on swordmanship isn't that great but you could try and learn some
kendo; there are also a few other martial arts where as you progress they'll teach you how to use certain weapons (nunchaku, swords, spears, etc.). Anyway, that's all I can think of right now.

I have a boyfriend. We have relations regularly. He pulls me away from the computer to do fun things out and about town regularly. I think I have as much of a life, if not moreso, than most people on the internet. Certainly more than a guy who wants to learn how to samurai after watching Ruroni Kenshin or whatever.
So STFU weeaboo.
