Special Trilogy Book Coming Out

On CC2's site, they recently announced the release of a new informational book on .hack//G.U. Trilogy called ".hack//Archives_01". A special set (or perhaps only set) includes a full color 200 page book, a special case, and then a mono-color version of what seems to be the special book included with preorders of Trilogy. The retail price for all this is 5,700 yen and it's coming out December 24th, in less than two weeks.

It looks very interesting, but the price is just way too much for me to fanspazz and buy it right now.
Thoughts on this?

Interesting indeed. An entire book about G.U.//Trilogy and it's creation. Included prototypes of characters and everything. I think I know what I'm telling Santa now.

Of course they're milking it. They've been milking G.U. since the beginning.
But hey, the book could be interesting, if it gives us insider details on G.U. Trilogy and the development of it, etc.

Could also have some more minor details alluding to a third game installment, since the end of the Trilogy movie alluded to it, and that would be included in part of development I would think. ^^'

That thing is almost $60. I WANT IT.

Santa couldn't get me a new boyfriend, so I think I'll get this baby for my birthday instead.

And luckily there's a Japanese bookstore in Japantown that has delicious .hack stuff.

Shinobee! (hugs) Its been awhile.

Just won my copy from Yahoo Japan Auctions, but the stupid agency I went thru just paid out the whole thing instead of bidding, so it cost me about $200 (grumble), but just glad I'll have it within the week. Maybe I post some pics when I get it.

From what I can tell, those were scenes that didnt make it into the final product. While the others on that page look like scenes from the games, the "8th" one, with Haseo and the 2 PKs may be a newly constructed scene as I dont recall them being together in that capacity, sans the beginning of the game and the arena in vol 3. That one has me puzzled.

My condolences, though maybe it'll be worth that much someday, since only 1,300 were printed. It probably isn't coming anywhere else, it's just a collector's item...

Great news! I just got word (finally) about my copy of the book. Its in transit and will probably arrive tommarrow. Happy days.

Yeah, I planned to. Unfortunately, my scanner is rejecting my computer, so I have to use the lab to do it. Therefore, I'll be supplimenting the scans, since I dont have as much access time.

Because I wanted to give you guys the best quality shots I could, I scanned them at 300 dpi, so I'll be posting a link to my photobucket album.

The entirety of the book covers: The Characters (artwork, models, and publicity art), The World (basically concepts/stuff from the movie scenes), Bonus Illustrations, Making Magazine Plus (technical aspect of the movie), Lost Files (art, scenes, concepts, etc not included in the movie) and a 10,000 word memo by Hiroshi Matsuyama.

Anyways, here's the link (so far only scanned about 20 pics: the cover, grey book container, and everything up to Haseo's first form). Enjoy. I'll try to post at least 20 more tommarrow.
