he does age, but not dramatically. he should be about 13-15 right now. he is still young. but yeah he should be like 20 something right now with all the years that pokemon has been on.

I think the real question is, why did his mom let him travel the world all alone at the age of 10?

A better question, why does a gigantic criminal organization like Team Rocket not have better trained goons and actual firearms to eliminate any medddling kids with a giant yellow rat? All these mysteries could be solved with the answer of, "Because it appeals to the audience."

Yeah seriously-What would you rather watch if your a kid:
A Teenager who's going out there, on his own away from his parent's having wild and wonderful adventures in order to fulfill his never ending quest to become pokemon master, all the while trying to escape the cluches of the bumbling villains who fall over their own airspace their that clumsy and making it appear cute cuddly friendly and funny to children?
OR
A 28+ year old(He's gotta be atleast 28 by now) who's walking around with some chicks who in that world are considered hot whom he doesn't make advances towards, who runs from city to city trying to catch monsters like a crazy person, who gets attacked and by a bunch of stalkers who are obsessed with his monster dispite the fact that its as common as grass?

Better yet, why the f*ck do they want that Pikachu in particular. The first few episodes made Pikachu out to be something "special" that would be relevant to the plot, and it's NEVER ADDRESSED AGAIN.

They have been stalking Ash for his Pikachu for years. From place to place all over the regions. I wonder how many times he must have said " Oh no. Not you guys again." Also in a way a think Ash should have been on Brawl, and I made a joke about it with my friends about Ash being replace by some want-to-be pokemon trainer. Ash: wait I been on Tv for years, and some pokemon trainer from the one of the games replaces me.

Yea, Ash was never that interesting as a character. Not to mention he's basically just Red from the original games and manga given vague prophetic importance that doesn't amount to anything relevant.

If they been trying to kill Ash off for years they could have just made a new pokemon series, with new people, alleast a another person name Ash. They do that in some other series like Megaman. Same name another person. Still lots of people like Ash.

They did make other series, but they kept ash around because if he went away then kids would cry and want to know where he went.
Then nintendo would either have him make various cameo appearances OR show his onscreen death, which would probably not ever happen.
I reckon in about 20 years time, they would've changed the characters around and you'll still see ash make a brief cameo appearance when he's just passing by the main character and make some remark about how he was awesome back in the day or something and anyone watching it who had seen the original series would smile and laugh.
Hell, even I would do that.
point still remains: it will take them forever and a day to kill off ash.

Wait couldn't they have just done this. They do a time skip in the seasons. Then he becomes a pokemon master, and Ash's story would be all over.

No because that idea is just plain stupid.
I mean even though they want to kill him off, they've been following him for a bajillion years, so instead of watching him become the thing that he wanted to be when he started out a bajillion years ago, they skip ahead and omit everything on how he became a master?

Ash will never grow older. It was said in the interview with the character designer of the the show. With him not growing up that means they can continue the story plot forever because it will always be a new audience to watch it. There will be more seasons to come. Don't expect misty to come back and join the party again It was said in the interview that she wont be coming back because its the Pokemon formula a new girl every season. The reason they do this is to give ash some "eye candy" This also gives the character designers freedom to mess with outfits like bikinis and such. It's also been noted that yes ash does have a father. It is very unlikely for him to show up in the anime though unless he is needed to move the plot along. It is NOT professor oak, Ho-Oh, Or Giovanni neither is it Bruno.
The reason team rocket chases after that specific pikachu is because of its supposed energy increase because in episode 2 because it got a power charge.
Brock will never be replaced neither will ash because they are so prominent and well liked that they are kept.
Apparently ash is still 12 my guess is that he should have 1 more birthday and never age again.
In a way Pokemon is a never ending anime It will only end when they decide to end it or the ratings get bad.

. . . Ho-Oh? Really? Ew. just. . . ew. I mean, I know in a few anime a demon or something gets together with someone, which is why some characters are like half-bred human demons and crap, but in the pokemon universe that's just. . . gross. I mean, how would they explain that in the kids show?
