As I said previously, I played the violin. I might go back soon, but it's a very lovely instrument.

How could you forget the piano? For shame.
I used to play the piano. Still do every once in awhile.

Acoustic guitar.
Tell me how to play some notes or certain songs and i do it quite nicely. But tell me how to even play the intro of Nothing Else Matters and i slam the guitar. My fingers aren't THAT fast >~>;

Re: Who Plays an instrument take 2!
like i said.. i used to play piano, drums, and know how to opperate a synthesizer, all at the age of 15 T_T.

Re: Who Plays an instrument take 2!
EXACTLY! I play the piano too. I used to do the Corneria level song from the SNES on piano, but haven't perfected it yet.Anime Monkey wrote:How could you forget the piano? For shame.

Re: Who Plays an instrument take 2!
So, like I said before, I used to play the violin, paino, flute, and I know a little guitar (just a few chords, not much really). I always had the dream to learn how to play the drums, and thanks to the options I remembered that I also wanted a cello (those are quite expensive too >__>).
In any case, when I wasn't playing the boring excersises I liked to play music from videogames.

Most of them are basic songs where you only keep switching from chords and keeping the same 'swing' on the beat, sorta changing every once (it's basicly just..let's say, Am - D - Em - G - Am and so on with minor changes), most are spanish songs too.... but i guess the only actual 'decent' song that you would know and i can play quite well (just kinda slow) is Dust in the Wind by Kansas. And last week i had to play some little part of Another Brick in the Wall and it wasn't hard :/TheEnigma wrote: name some songs u no how to play. i could probably send u some good easy songs that i learned when i first started. they build up ur speed quite a bit, and there not that hard.

For some reason, I always played on the piano theme songs from games, such as Corneria (SNES), Mute City (F-Zero), Big Blue (F-Zero), Bolero of Fire (Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time). So, if anyone wants to give a shot at "game" music, give me a heads up cause I may have the sheets.

Re: Who Plays an instrument take 2!
Haha, I created my own composition for Big Blue for my entire school band. Sadly, it failed in the end because I got lazy and people wouldn't show up to practices after school where I would try and get them to practice it (lol). I still play it with my fellow saxophonist like...every day for warm up xD. Same with a Mario composition, I have about 10 songs in chronological order on it...but...never worked out. I worked hard on it, but the same story as above. Just didn't work out :\.Reon wrote:SPAM.maggosh wrote:FAIL.TheEnigma wrote:p.s. instruments of destruction do not count!

I play saxophone if you couldn't tell. I've been playing for nearly 3 years, though I take extra lessons/ensembles...though my band instructor is an absolute sh*thead, so I guess it still evens out at 3 years. Meh.
I'd like some more game music though, if you wouldn't mind. I've got (memorized)big blue, a TON of mario songs, Dedede's Theme, LoZ main theme, Hyrule Temple (melee), Saria's Song, and for now I'm trying to figure out Corneria (64, not SNES) and Metaknight's Revenge. Haven't really started though.
I've got the first quarter of Mute City, but I can't get the part where it scales up -.-. If you have any MUS files, let me know and I'll transpose them...but you've probably get them set up for piano with multiple...fingerings...? Bah, anyway, if you have anything with JUST the melody let me know.

Re: Who Plays an instrument take 2!
yeah. i play only zelda songs on my acoustic. the best one is of course the gerudo valley theme.
try out some songs like brain stew by green day and smells like teen spirit by nirvana. some of the simplest songs ever made but fun and easy to play. A harmonica, huh? Long time ago an uncle gave me one, I tried it for a while but I was not good at it, by the time I gave up on it ~.~ Guess I don't have the talent for that one.
