While I was looking at .hack//Wiki, I found Kite (Link)'s page, and looked at his picture and noticed something. His pants don't have the gold/yellow symbols anymore! Did anyone else notice, and if they did, is there an explanation to this? I know it's an ungraded version of Kite, but the fact that he is a UPGRADED version, he should still have the streaks.

Weren't those symbols (and the orange-yellow color overall) placed on him when he obtained the bracelet?

i think he no longer has the bracelet, which is why his head symbol and pants are different =]...

But in the poem that was in the .hack//LINK page we first saw, it said

"Kite, your courage is needed again"

If he is needed, doesn't the power that made him special needed again?

The bracelet wouldn't be necessary. His presence might be what was needed.

Majority of his appearance had settle changes, like the belts on his shirt, the under shirt, the cut off of the shirt, short-sleeved vs long sleeves, not much in the pants area aside the removal of the patterns that the Book of 1000 added, gloves are smaller, and of course the fabled icon on the hat.

Though I think this all relates to one fact, including the most obvious and the other settle change; he's matured and grown up. Even his model has grown in size from a short model possibly to depict his offline self is younger compared to the latest version a much taller model who's player is too probably older and taller. Not to mention his assertive facial expression compared to his younger naive face was probably thrown in there to complete the transition.

Another thing to keep in mind - this is The World R:X, not R:1. Changes are bound to be made.

[The World] you mean? They made a game in japan called .hack//Fragment where you make your own character and play around, but the closes the servers down in late 2006.


Edit: To have a complete 3rd Generation, they'll bound to have a game and an anime

i think he meant the .hack\\link manga. if not, i am sorry.

I highly believe they'll make it a game, as it's been with the other .Hack main storylines and The World versions overall (R:1 and R:2). I mean..it wouldn't make much sense if all we get to know about R:X from beginning to end is only through manga and maybe anime :/

i don't think kite will ever get his weapons back... that would mean cubia would return. the same problem would arise with haseo and skeith, and probably tsukasa aswell. as for tokio, he is the new main character and therefore bound to have some kind of ability besides the black game disc that allows him to insert his mind into the game...

I'm not sure, theres barely even a resemblance to the IMOQ Kite, except maybe for the face, but the new Kite model looks amazing.

I love how they made the torso, but everytime I look at the scarf, I don't know, it reminds me too much of Cubia's PC in the manga, its still really cool though.

nah i think the way they did his swords and his arms looks better. i bet you his PC will be green when the anime comes out =]...

That might actually look pretty cool if they could get the shades of color the right way, but idk. Were there any colored pages of him in the 2 chapters or anything?
