I didn't see a thread on it.

I have played 1 and 2 at Wal-Mart and I was thinking of buying the third one. Do you think it's a good purchase? I wanted a couple of other opinions before a bought it.

I don't think they're much different in game play. Wiki says something about a battle feature, and something for the wii, but that's it.
I guess it all depends on the songs. I'd get whichever has more of the songs you know and like :/

If you liked Guitar Hero 1 and Guitar Hero 2, then you'll enjoy Guitar Hero 3. The game looks sharper and more polished, and the song lineup is very good overall. They also made the push off notes easier to play, which will come in handy later on in the game. After playing (and beating) it I only have three complaints. The first is about how they basically constructed a brick wall just before the last one or two sets of songs, some of which are nearly impossible to play on the Hard and Expert difficulties. Even if you do manage to beat them, your hand will hurt like hell when you're finished. The second complaint is that despite the title, there's really only one "Legend of Rock" being Slash, because Tom Morello is not a legend of rock by any stretch. Finally, I really hated how there is no co-op quickplay. Battles are fun and all, but really I would have liked to be able to play the full song with my friends rather than having to play bits and piece as we trade off over and over again throughout the entire song.

Despite these flaws, the game is certainly worth buying especially if you're already a fan of the series.

i agree on everything u said there. i also hated the fact that on quickplay,if u wanted to change ur diffuculty u had to keep going back to the preious screen.
