Okay I am having a certain problem with my lucky animal collection. I just got done collecting one of every animal, and now I am trying to finish getting 50/50 on the entire collection, but for some reason, it's stuck at 49/50. I've kicked a lot more lucky animals than that but it simply won't move to 50. What's the deal here?

Kudan, you mean? Try Delta Disputing Blazing Dark Tree. The dothackersnet FAQ has that listed as where it is.

kick ones of these again. the top two are a better choice(for shop acorn), yet i prefur you to not go to a cave.
dont kick anything untill you kick the animal first becuse every mushroom and rum barrel that hasnt been kicked will turn into treasur boxes.

Nope, still no luck. I think my save file somehow glitched, because it also is no longer recording the animals I kick in the list. (i.e. it still says I only kicked the Gold Bird 1 time, when actually I've kicked it at least 3!) It's the weirdest thing, and it sucks because I wanted this file to be perfect before I move on to Volume 2. Meh, I guess no big deal. I already got the Wild Robe, and I think the reward for kicking 50/50 animals are common items anyways. But still...

you could try and make a new game? if you are willing. cause i have the glitch also. but then, i make a new file and start over again. it somehow works.

^^ Thank you for the response. I could always do that, but I've played Volume 1 so many times, and I really just want to move on to Volume 2. I just don't understand how it glitched like this, and I'm surprised that not many others have experienced it.

I've got the same problem. I kicked like 60 of those stupid lucky animals but the counter is stuck at 38/50. This realy ticks me off, I completet everything in the first part besides this. Maybe it's because I got one of every lucky animal before kicking at least 50, don't know... Now I wonder if there is any disadvantage because of this in volume 2 or 3?

You can't 100% the ryu book data, you get wild robe from the quest

I got the wild robe for kicking one of every lucky animal, my ryu book is at 100% for episode 1. So I guess there is no real problem besides me being angry

Oh yeah, forgot the wild robe is from kicking all of 'em, not 50.

I had the same problem my lucky animal count stopped at 45 and right after I finished the Bikman Flyer Quest T_T

its a glitch. everyones vol.1 does. just play through again and this time go to springs bustling alga grass over and over b/c all there is there is a gold bird and it will help raise ur meter in the quest easier. just make sure not to get all the luckty animal types before finishing the meter.

I figured as much T_T oh well thanks, wish I learned that getting all the types did this sooner

the dothackers faq didn't help me very much for the lucky animals. I found much of that section to be incorrect.
29 Rooks's faq at gamefaqs has an actual explaination of where they appear

concerning 29 Rook's faq:
the animal locations were different in my game, but the principal of different animals appearing in different areas depending on area level and dungeon or field seems correct.

are you sure it just wasn't a glitch?
