Phyllo and Lost Weapons

Did anyone find the whole Phyllo knowing about the Lost Weapons and somehow knowing Haseo would be able to use them a little on the not so well thought out side? The only explanation given for Phyllo somehow knowing Haseo would have use for them being along the lines of "He was a wise old man"...

I like the fact they tried to tie G.U. and Roots together, I really do. I also like the fact they gave a reason for Antares continuously helping Haseo through his arena battles. I just wish more thought had been put into linked them up.

Phyllo knew the whole damm time that Haseo was special.Thats why he kept an eye on him.
And we all know Phyllo had something to do with the Epitaphs/Avatar in some major/minor way.I mean, he basically  introduced Innis to Corbinek,and was there to watch out for Skeith.Tell me this guy wasnt just your random wise man.

i didint watch all of the .hack roots episodes so i didint Phyllo died T.T man he was cool why did he have to die. anyway i want to know how Phyllo knew about the lost weapons

Now, my memory may be playing tricks on me here, but didn't we only see Ovan reveal something and Phyllo looking shocked? I don't recall any details of what was said. For all we know he could've simply told Phyllo that it was he who put Shino in a coma, revealing his true identity in the process.

ovan told phyllo everything. he had to tell it all or it wouldn't have made sense.  he was an epitaph user which is why aida got interested in him. he probably got his lost weapon then and pked shino later. just saying "something is interested in me because i can use an avatar. oh, and now i can put people into comas" wouldn't make sense. he had to have told everything.

I suppose it would make sense for Ovan to tell Phyllo since he wants Haseo to kill him - If he somehow knew that Phyllo had knowledge about the lost weapons then telling Phyllo about avatars would've helped him reach his goal. There is also the possibility that Ovan just felt guilty and wanted to reveal all to someone on the verge of death, someone who wouldn't be around long enough to cause too much trouble.
