I have an issue that shows up mainly during the loading process between the end of quests (where Haseo says it's time to go to the quest shop to complete the quest and you auto warp out of the field/dungeon to the quest shop) and the time it takes to return to the quest shop to the end of quest scene. I'd be grateful if someone could make a vid of that and upload it, the quest itself doesn't really matter. I'm 99% certain the issue is my game or PS2, just need to see it with my own eyes, and Youtube has no such vids.

I'm 99% certain the above issue happened at the end of every quest for me. It also happened between a fair few of the cut-scenes near the end of the game.
It's a strange one, I played up to the first quest (Cloud and Rain) by doing a speed run last night without loading saved data to see if this problem first shows at the end of the first quest and it didn't show up to that point at all. Couldn't complete the quest since I hadn't leveled up and the boss destroyed me.
I'm starting to think it's caused by scratches on my disc. Not sure how they got there; the game was sealed on arrival and I only started Vol. 2 a about a week and a half ago. Vol. 1 is still unmarked...

Maybe it's a glitch like the Pi Glitch(The one where Pi's body gone), it's not happening in every DVD, or maybe your game DVD is scratched?

Yeah, it's really annoying. It's also highly likely the DVD was scratched before being sealed as it hasn't had much use by me.
How nice it would to be to live in America and be able to pick it up on the cheap. It'd cost a lot to import it again, VG+ at £27 ($54) would be probably my best at the mo. I suppose the problem doesn't ruin the game at the end of the day, it's still perfectly playable and the gameplay/cut-scenes are fine once they start, it's just an 'in-between' issue.
