The FAQ I'm using says this:

"Q: How do I change between Saku and Bo?

A: The appearance of Saku/Bo depends on Haseo's level. Even = Bo, Odd = Saku."

So why have I still got Saku when my level is 78? Had the same problem with getting my game to switch over to Bo. Need Bo to do the mushroom quest with Atoli...

Wait, you can still get Saku at level 100!? I've been trying to get Saku's affection up to the max like crazy before I hit 100...

They both appear randomly on level 100.
(And actually you don't need to log out to switch them, just remove him/her from your party and go to another root town until the other one is online.)

yup. that made it easier to get max affection.
