So who saw/read this SPLENDID manga/anime and loved it as much as I did (A lot) despite it's piss-poor ending in both versions?

Now that that is out of the way, I enjoyed the anime. I liked the way they handled Shinku's character development.

As for the manga, I've only been keeping up with the domestic releases so I can't say much about the ending other than I heard it ended prematurely due to some problem with the publisher and Peach Pit. A shame too...

Hell, all of the characters were handled pretty well. Though in comparison to their manga counterparts, Suigintou's and Megu's relationship could use some work. It's right out of left field.

What really got me into Rozen Maiden was the character designs. I think after I saw the dresses I decided to watch the anime.

But your right, the endings could have been better.

I've really been wanting to see this anime, but I just haven't found the time. Once I do, though, I'll definitely sit down and watch it for myself. So far I've heard nothing but good things.

I bought the first volume when it first came out stateside,but after that...I havent really gotten into.And its werid because I love Peach-Pit manga.

Anyways, I loved this anime, but have yet to read the manga. Though I must admit the last 3 episodes of season 2 took away a large chunk of my masculinity. I cried pretty much every 2 minutes >_>;;

Has the manga been officially translated or do I need to hunt for scanlations?

There's eight overall volumes. I'm not sure if they've all been translated, but I know some of them have.

Yes, it's been officially translated. Tokyopop's only up to volume 5 currently.

Rozen Maiden is an awesome anime, I really like the anime season 1 more than 2 though. The only problem I think is they only showed Kirakishou once!!! Thats so unfair. Suigintou made me cry at the end of season one T-T

Pssh, everyone's seen Traumend if they want to keep their sex organs, IMO.

And there's not gonna be a third season. Not for YEARS anyway. The team completely broke up. Our best shot is the manga, but that's going in a totally different direction.

Manga. . It has different story right ? I don't think there's Barasuishou there. . I mean, what happened to Hinaichigo is really different than the anime.

I love the anime!The storyline was brilliant and very different,the characters we very deep and great and it got a bit of everything e.g. action,comedy,etc.I hate how they ended the manga.I putted it on youtube if anyone want to see it:
