hey guys i was just wondering about what you think about this franchise if its good or not? well tell me what you think because i wanna try it out and see what other people think about it

yo dude! finally got u on man! well anyways, the Final Fantasy games are good. Get FF12 when u get ur Ps2. i'll let u borrow my FF9 if u want. just wait till other people say wat to get.

How is that? Final Fantasy XII was great and most people thought so. Yes, even the "experts." And for that matter, who are these "experts?" By "experts" do you mean your opinion and maybe a couple friends?

Only Final Fantasy I haven't played yet is XI. For obvious reasons.

I love them.

Ive played em all (thank god for FF fanboy/fangirl friends ). 7, 8, 9 were possibly the better ones. Dont look down on X and X-2 though (X was the first voiced one so cut it SOME slack). They were more of an experiment. And X-2 had a rather interesting way of handling jobs.

XII .... was a tad of a let down. Nice visuals, slightly interesting storyline (well ok I just like Fran and the Viera in general lol). Could of done a better job on the battle system in my opinion. on a scale of 1-10 I would give it a 7.8 fun to play and watch. But it gets stale fast. And the armor/wep/ability (license) system seemed too similar to X; just a bit of hardcore grinding like in X and everyone could know everything (aside from the obvious).

FFXI was so-so. It takes a good while to get in to it. Then it will eat your soul and you will never get it back. Play at your own risk.

Really looking forward to FFXIII. PS3 only title though so start saving them pennies now.

In the end though only one thing matters. If YOU like the game or not.

I think Final Fantasy is great!
Too bad they will end the kingdom of FF....

well.. for experts i mean jrpg fans that doesn't know only FF saga, Kingdom Hearts and some other famous games and ignore all the other titles
anyway, that vote for FF12 is too much imho (the game is really good, but the story is not so "great".. same for the characters).. piece of **** "now" is related to how the series is going now.. the creator and the whole team that produced FF12 is gone, now the series is left tin the hands of who created FF10, FF10-2 and all FF7's spin offs.. it's not only FF, the entire Square Enix is in trouble actually

but everybody is leaving, the best developers already left it
first takahashi (xenogears), then sakaguchi(FF1-7+9), then chrono's team disbanded and kato was used on stupid low budget projects, the mana series is already died, no future for their recent new ideas (radiata stories), SaGa died too and the team disbanded, and at last, matsuno (FF Tactics, vagrant story) left because his original FF12 was totally different from how SE wanted that game, and his team was disbanded too
actually in SE there are nomura (FFX, Kingdom hearts, FF7 spin offs), kitase (FF8, FF7 spin offs) and toriyama (FFX-2, and part of FF12) and the only 2 big projects out of FF and KH are the last remnant from the team who created the bouncer and dragon quest 9 on DS by level 5..

Somehow the game Blue Dragon by Toriyama made it, Im thinking that Square enix keeps putting out games that repeat themselves as in almost exactly the same storyline.

blue dragon is not square enix's.. it's from mistwalker

Nomura basically runs the place now.He just keeps coming out with hits.Look at Kingdom Hearts.Nuff said.
ANd the FF series is never gonna die out.Its what made Square what it is.BAck in 1987,Square Soft was doing bad.Final Fantasy was suppose to be exactly that,thier final fantasy.If the game flopped,they were screwed and would sold out.But the game rocked and thats why they are one of the leading game producers.
They were in trouble a while back,not now....not ever again....Unless KH3 and FFXIII suck.And if i do sauy so myself,Verus looks asss kicking money making cool.

The FF series rocks! It's what really got me into gaming because before I was just a casual gamer. It's a fun challenge- very strategy oriented. But not so much that it's boring. They ususallly have great story lines. I say 'usually' cuz I couldn't get into the whole girl power of X-2. I was thoroughly disgusted with that, and I am a girl!!!

As far as trouble with the company... well... all they need to do is release a FF7 remake and they'd make millions.
