if you get rid of the disny characters, kingdom hearts wins.

I did however like final fantasy one's idea of how you chose a couple characters and they remain with you throught the entier game. no swiching alowed. it adds stratagy.

I'm going to have to say that the older Final Fantasies and the first Kingdom Hearts were good. Ahahaha, that's so twisting the original answer.

It's nearly impossible to actually compare the two. The reason being, Final Fantasy doesn't stick to one storyline through each of it's installments. Nearly each Final Fantasy is a complete game in and of itself.

Meanwhile, Kingdom Hearts follows one storyline through each of it's installments (so far). As for the problem with Disney in it, some people will just have to deal with that. I used to feel the same way as some of the others whom posted here against Kingdom Hearts. "What the hell can be so good about this game? Disney is for kids!" and such. However, after my friends talked me into it, I picked up kh1 and gave it a try. Personally, once you play it, it's hard to stop. The Disney factor just gives it that feeling of serenity and makes you remember your childhood as you play through some of the stories you used to love to watch on TV, get read to you before bed, or go to the movies to see.

Being fair, since the question of this thread is "what do you think is better Kingdom Hearts or Final Fantasy?" I'm going to only compare it on different scales. The three scales will be the final fantasy games I've played. (while keeping as close as possible to the original system)

Final Fantasy V: Advance VS. Kingdom Hearts: Chain of memories. (KH wins here in my opinion due to reverse rebirth. Riku pwns all )
Final Fantasy VII VS. Kingdom Hearts (The original put up a good fight, but counting only the sheer storyline depth, FF7 wins this round)
Final Fantasy X VS. Kingdom Hearts (X also was a good fight, but this time KH wins simply because X felt too short to call a "complete game")
Final Fantasy X-2 VS. Kingdom Hearts 2 (heh... no contest. Kingdom Hearts 2 wins. I just had more fun playing it )
Final Fantasy VII: Dirge of Cerberus VS. Kingdom Hearts 2 (again, no contest. Dirge of cerberus tried to be a good game, but with the online section cut out in the US release, KH2 wins this one easy.)

so, final score.

kingdom hearts owns in every category, including story. to me the story in kh is better than ff because it INCLUDES FF characters. nuff said, nuff said.

both are great and is very hard to choose but I like KH battle system better then FF

Final Fantasy ALL the way. I'm an addict to gameplay like DMC, .hack, and GoW. KH is alot like it, but no, KH is a great game in my opinion. But it just can't beat FF. It was the first true RPG I ever played, KH cannot beat it.

I, in all honesty, enjoy the voice acting in KH more. But that's not really unusual. I mean. Damn, it's awesome.

More so on Disney. They could have done without Final Fantasy, but it wouldn't be as awesome.

Final Fantasy totally beats Kingdom Hearts. But that's probably because I hated Kingdom Hearts. Please, don't try to force me to like it, because believe me, as much as people tried, I still hated it.

Although Final Fantasy is getting milked out at this point, I still like the old school Final Fantasy games. (FF6 ftw.)
