I found out there was 9 .hack roots dvd's in total for Japan,but each roots dvd in america holds 5 episodes (the last one is an exeption, as there is 26 roots episodes) so then, bandai entertainment will only release 5 dvd's,
unless they change how many episode there are on a roots dvd.

Usually(if the series is over 14 episodes) a series will go for a few discs with 4 or 5 episodes on each, then drop the number to make it so the series fits on 6 or 7 discs. That's just what usually happens with America anime companies lately.

If they go with how they do most anime series that has 26 episodes, only the first two dvds have five episodes and the other four dvds will have four episodes on them.
