Eve Online

Post by Erroneous »

Well just recently I decided to reactivate my old Eve-Online account and get back into the world of space rediscovering the world of Eve Online. Luckily they save old accounts that haven't been used so I picked right up where I left off. Of course I'm still ISK'less since I bought up a lot of ships and skills before I canceled my account so immediately I got back into mining.

What is Eve-Online you might ask?
EVE is a massive multiplayer online game (MMOG) set in a science-fiction based, persistent world. Players take the role of spaceship pilots seeking fame, fortune, and adventure in a huge, complex, exciting, and sometimes hostile galaxy.

Of course everyone doesn't get to start out with the top of the line ships, you get the rinky dinky starter ones that are worthless till you improve your skills and money :P

What can you do in Eve? Well as prior mentioned above in what is Eve-Online, you'll mostly want to start out by focusing in on economics, you get to mine, sell, trade, cargo, wholesale, etc... The economy in the game is real, the prices in the markets are real, what you buy and sell affects all players availability and prices and vice verca back at you, that's just a sample to explain it's realism.

Other than that you can take on jobs from game NPC's, fellow players, and your or other company's assignments. In this game, company or corporations as used is referred to what guilds and affiliations you are with. Thus creating allies and enemies. Allies will want to share, trade, support with you. While enemies will want to hunt, kill, destroy you. So the game does have a PvP realm to it, your ship vs theres, your skills vs others, your bots against their bots, and the winners earn fame/infamy as well as the opportunity to salvage your ships wreck and cargo as you die, while you loose your ship and your clone and revert back to your last clone with lesser skills depending on the value of your current and other clones in the universe of Eve-Online.

Sound interesting? Hit me up in the game, I'm known as Insydius there as well and I can teach you anything you like.

If you decide you want to pick up this game, let me save you a lot of heartache and confusion. If you don't join a corporation and participate in corporate activities, you will miss out on about 90% of what makes EVE Online a fun game to play. Also, if you're not a thinker, hate having to plan things, or are looking for a game that gives you instant gratification, steer clear of this game because you will absolutely loathe it; especially if you have no patience. If you have any questions, message me.
