The girl in the opening isn't anyone, it's symbolic of all the players. I wrote an essay on the subject once. Basically, the OP of Sign is half "Za Warudo" advertising and half Tsukasa's emo trip. The Anonymous Player, like our heroes, gets in over her head and discovers the connection between Za Warudo and Earth.

if you wach the last episode of //SIGN (not unison) you can see tsujasa irl, and she has the ecsact haircut. thy ask bandai or bee-train about it. CAUSE I'M RIGHT!

And Tsukasa IRL has a different facial structure,and isn't as...adult...as the player at the start.

The figure in the middle is absolutely Tsukasa. If you see it carefully you'll find out that the second figure is wearing a hat, the Wavemaster's hat like the one Tsukasa wore all the time.
