Crimson VS Changes???
I was wondering if Crimson VS is a little different than described on Rebirths Forums???
Well, im not sure what is described in vol.1(Im a bit lazy to do that......), but Crimson VS is a card game that does not require the player to see through the whole battle of the game. U just have to form a deck, register your deck for duels, exit Crimson VS and play the G.U. story, return after sometime to see your results of battle. 1 battle occurs in Crimson VS in every minute. This game is actually semi-auto or even fully automatic.
U start with a number of cards, and u have to form a deck. The deck consists of 1 General and 3 sub-cards. Each card has 4 portions, 1 number in the top left, 1 at bottom-left and 1 at bottom-right, and an effect name. The bottom-left value is your AP, or your attack value(means how much damage u deal to other general), while the bottom-right value is your HP(i dun think i need to explain this......). The effect name will tell about the effect of a particular card if there's any, which will either affect the AP, HP or any other factors of 1 player or both. The number at the top left is a fortitude. The value of all your 3 sub-cards cannot exceed the value of that of your general, simply, the value on your general card determines the maximum fortitude that all your sub-cards can reach. For instance, i have Shino as my general with the fortitude value of 12. This means that the fortitude value of all my 3 sub-cards cannot exceed 12. So i can have 3 sub-cards of values 4,4,2, or 3,3,3 , as long as it does not go beyond 12.
The General does the damage, while the sub-cards provide effects to yourself or the other player. Your sub-cards will compete with the other player's sub-cards. The order of the sub-cards goes by which card u place 1st,2nd and 3rd in your deck formation. The sub-card with a higher fortitude will win, and the winning card will stay in the game, while the losing card does not. This follows for all the 3 sub-cards. However, there is something called a modifier in the determination of the sub-card winner. Looking carefully at each card, u can see 1 of 3 designs beside the fortitude, either a gun, a wing or a shield. This is something like the game scissors, paper and stone. The shield wins the gun, the gun wins the wing, and the wing wins the shield. When there is an advantange of 1 of the sub-card to the opposing sub-card, your fortitude increases by 1(this does not affected the maximum fortitude of your deck). Furthermore, this modifier determines who starts the battle between the generals.
Once all the sub-cards have competed with one another, the general comes in and the battle starts. From here, any effect from your remaining sub-cards will be applied to the battle if applicable, and any effect of your general will be applied if applicable as well. The player whose general has the advantage over the other general(through the wing, gun, shield) will start the battle 1st. 1 turn is over when both players have fought.
The game ends if 1 of the general loses all its hp, or if 10 turns has passed. If the game ends because of 10 turns, the player who starts first in the battle will win.
U collect new booster cards when u win, and new booster cards replace old ones when your game ranking increases. U can get an area word which its beast statue reward is the Crimson VS cards.(U get the word from the Crimson VS forums)
Your initial ranking should be quite low(i cant remember the exact value), and u have to work your way up by winning the battles. Note that your ranking will fall if u lose too many battles, so be wary. After your ranking increases, your booster packs will change. When your ranking reaches a certain point, u will receive certain cards. After u have reached the top ranking, u can now challenge the champion(His deck is the Shino deck). If u managed to win over the champion, u will get the General Shino as a reward. After obtaining the Shino General card, there is actually a deck which will win most of the time, but not always, by using Shino as the general with some other sub-cards.
