Well I thought this game will last me till tuesday so I rented it. I havnt beat it yet but so far its ok.

Problems I had: Camera angles are worse than the Blair witch project.
Really glitchy.
I feel into negative space a couple times. Its really hard to control spider-man.
Also the graphics are horrible.

Good things: The venom suit. I like it a lot. I mean you can only use for periods at a time but you get improved strength, super regeneration, jump higher, and you look damn cool. I also like how you go through a special cut scene to take it off. Like you press buttons as you did in RE4. Ive noticed the more I used the suit its harder to take off.
Swinging around town is fun.
The narrator is hilarious and you can do sweet fighting moves.

So what do you think of the game?

I went to rent it for PS3 today and they dident have it Im not much of a spider man fan but i love swinging around town ^.^. What version did u play?

I have no idea but I have to beat it by tuesday. Its definitely worth the rent though.

Yeah, i wneed somthign to keep me busy till then too. I heard you can play as the goblin on the PS3 one.

i bought the one for PS2....

I've been looking at the pc-version, but my computer wouldn't be able to handle it so I'm going to buy the 360-version eventually. It seems like an awesome game :o

They seem to have adjusted the swinging mechanics and the camera during these to make it resemble the movie-style swinging more than it did in Spiderman 2.


Could one of you who've played it tell me if the web-lines stretch when you swing on them (and I don't just mean sticking a web-line to a helicopter and another one to a house and see them stretch. I mean that when you're at the bottom of your swing, the web-line becomes slightly longer due to Spideys weight stretching it out)?
They ARE elastic after all and it'd be very cool if they had included that in this third game :o
Real physics applied to web-swinging should be guaranteed kickass :D

Well yeah you do swing on a reversed parabola. ( A parabola is a bell shaped) and you cant do anything like swing on a helicopter.

I figured that since in Spiderman 2, you could put a webline on a helicopter, they'd keep that in Spiderman 3 :o


Anyway, do you always have a perfect circle-form in your swings or is it more like an egg-shape?

Basically you can only use it for a limited time. You get more speed, strength, and a higher regeneration level. Then you have to take it off. to do that you have to do a button combo. (like god of war) The more you use the suit the harder it is to take off.

Actually if anyone has beat venom give me some tips. After he gets down to 3/4 of health he gets alot harder to beat.

i beat it within a few hours

legendarydarknight just keep your distance from venom and attack when he stops punching just dodge or run then attack thats how i did it after a few try's

Yes. I just pwned venom. In your symbiotic face! Hey have you found any emblems. I found 1 underneath the giant bridge and another on the bridge on the support cables.

yeah i found about 27/50 emblems the way i've been finding them is by the humming noise they make.
