GENERAL HELP! QUESTIONS POST HERE
Re: GENERAL HELP! QUESTIONS POST HERE
I'm looking for the Blade Angel accessory. I tried to use the FAQ, but my game apparently lacks the first word "Dreaming", hence I am doomed. Help!

"Dreaming" is gotten from a level 30 area, B-S rank. (From the guide)Almsty wrote:I'm looking for the Blade Angel accessory. I tried to use the FAQ, but my game apparently lacks the first word "Dreaming", hence I am doomed. Help!
You can also just use the second and third words, and improvise for the first. There's always the chance that you might get it.
My question: How do you juggle an enemy for insane gold when you're using over damage? Dual swords have too long of a delay at the end of a combo that can't be solved with blocking; broad swords are just too slow, even with blocks, unless you're perfect at it; scythes fail at doing anything fast enough, unless maybe you wall bounce them with quick charge.

Re: GENERAL HELP! QUESTIONS POST HERE
I don't quite understand how the job exp gain formula works. It seems to me that using lots of arts during the same battle doesn't increase the job exp you get. But sometimes you get little job exp, and sometimes you get more.
I tested this in the arena against level 100 opponents, with myself being level 100, using arts from all of Haseo's jobs, and making sure my two party members also used their arts. Still, I can't really seem to get a good idea of what the best way to level a job is.
EDIT: After playing some more, I'm beginning to suspect that job exp is also affected by Rengeki bonus.
EDIT2: Ok I've come up with a theory. If someone can confirm this, please say so.
For every fight, there's a base value for job exp, probably dependent on the level difference between you and the enemy. After the battle ends, this is divided among the job that have used their arts, and jobs that have used lots of arts get bigger portions than others. Also, the base value is increased by Rengeki Bonus.
So lets say you want to get up the job levels of all the characters in your party, including all the jobs Haseo gets, you just try to finish a battle as fast as you can, with as many Rengekis as you can. Levels of all the characters will slowly increase, but in the end it's no different from wanting to level them one at a time.
If you only have one character with one job to level, lets say for this example, Antares. You go into a battle and have Antares unload as many arts as possible. If the fight gets too long, throw in a Rengeki, but only if Antares's art usage is like four times your art usage, or more. Making sure that Antares receives the bulk of the job exp is very important if Antares is the only one you're interested in leveling.
I've tried this, and it seems to work that way, but I've no way of confirming this.

Quick question, when you convert vol.1 data to vol.2 does the play time restart?

Re: GENERAL HELP! QUESTIONS POST HERE
I've always thought that it was increased by just using the skills for the job you have. We all know that the characters you bring along generally level up skills faster then Haseo(due to him being a rouge and having 3 seperate jobs to level up), I put Sakubo on rage all the time and her skill level increased at an insane rate(she increased her skill level like 2-3 times in the dungeon.Dengar wrote:I don't quite understand how the job exp gain formula works. Clockwerk- Level 90ish fields generally have the monsters with BFenlongs. I forget the monster though

Re: GENERAL HELP! QUESTIONS POST HERE
Yes, but I've tested it, and my explanation seems the probable one.The Angel of Ruin wrote:I've always thought that it was increased by just using the skills for the job you have.
This is because if Sakubo uses her spells 12 times in one battle, and you only use Haseo's arts 3 times, she gets 12/15, or 4/5 share of the job exp, whereas Haseo only gets 3/15, or 1/5, provided those three arts are from the same job. The total amount of points Haseo and Sakubo get increase proportionately if those 3 arts attacks by Haseo were all Rengeki attacks. The Angel of Ruin wrote:We all know that the characters you bring along generally level up skills faster then Haseo(due to him being a rouge and having 3 seperate jobs to level up), I put Sakubo on rage all the time and her skill level increased at an insane rate(she increased her skill level like 2-3 times in the dungeon.
If this is against an enemy party of equal level to your party, this would then quickly translate about 1/8 to 1/6 of Sakubo's job bar. If this is in a dungeon, which will generally have 7+ battles per floor, it's really no wonder that her job level shoots up like wildfire.

Good point. Your theory does make sense now that I've thought about it a while. It even explains why Haseo(gameplay wise) levels his jobs slower. I'm gonna go check for myself.

Re: GENERAL HELP! QUESTIONS POST HERE
I have another question, when you convert data from vol 1 to 2 does the Books of 1000 just keep the rank and reset the stats (for example the 4th book has the items youve collected, iv completed the lists, if i convert will it still be rank 3 but the lists empty again?)
If it keeps rank and stats does it go ahead carry over points to add to rank, or will it only count the points you earn while playing vol 2 ( for example in the 5th book from vol 1 i have over 7000 points extra after the 1800 from getting to rank 3, will that make my rank go up at the start of vol 2 or dose it only count the points you get after the data conversion has happened.)

so does that mean that if they use less skill than Haseo, then he'll be leveling up faster? The Angel of Ruin wrote:Good point. Your theory does make sense now that I've thought about it a while. It even explains why Haseo(gameplay wise) levels his jobs slower. I'm gonna go check for myself.

Re: GENERAL HELP! QUESTIONS POST HERE
if i remember correctly, when I used the books of 1000 at the begining of vol 2 right after the first few cutscenes, my books points still increase even though i haven't been to any fields or whatsoever in vol 2. Therefore, the points did get carry over from vol 1. (same goes for the old .hack game)monkeyseeall wrote:I have another question, when you convert data from vol 1 to 2 does the Books of 1000 just keep the rank and reset the stats (for example the 4th book has the items youve collected, iv completed the lists, if i convert will it still be rank 3 but the lists empty again?)
