I doubt it would work with the DS. It doesn't seem to have a little port in which to connect with. All it has is the headset and recharging ones.

Unfortunately - no. I ordered an S-Video cable for my Wii directly from Nintendo, and they accidentally sent me a GBA to NGC cable. I wanted to try using it for four swords adventures, but no connection for my DS. Hopefully when they release the software for the DS/Wii wireless connection, It will also allow connectivity to/from the Gamecube mode.

where do you plan to plug this wire into?
the only port is the one to charge the ds, and since when does anything use the same port that supplies power as well as does communication O_o

so no, it wont work at all.

(the port on the ds was for local multiplayer and a few rare gc games that supported it, if you had the correct cable (zelda: four sword adventure, splinter cell, wind waker are the ones i know of). the ds just does local games, as well as net games (via conneccting to a specially made usb adaptor or wireless router) using wireless capabilities)
