What is the Altimit website? I found it in the Links section of dothack.com, it sounds interesting. It asks you to give your screen name and seems to be getting you ready for some "adventure". Does anyone know whats going on.
What really confused me was the line:
"You are wise to desire entrance into The World. It is best to embark on this journey with me as soon as it begins."
After you give your screen name.
Does anyone know what this is?

but it's closed now.

the altimin.com is shut down/put back on often, but it is mearly a fan prodiction

There was a short-lived Wizards trading card game that had an ARG that went along with it. It was pretty fun; they had you solving puzzles and calling long-distance phone numbers, etc. ^^

So what is this Alternate Reality game anywho? I hope I'm getting the wrong impression here, because the first thing it makes me think of is Second Life.

The old Altimit was rarely updated. They had a monthly poll and quiz and had some projects, as is common with any Affinitive run site. The projects that they had last time were things like, make a .hack//G.U. commercial, cosplay as a character and pre-order .hack//G.U. vol 1. You would get GP for doing the activities and could then redeem them for prizes.

If it's going to be like Konami stars (which is also a viral marketing site run by Affinitive) then it'll be updated on wednsday's or Friday's of every other week.

Before, when it was open.
Was it a game like they talk about in the ARG article on wikipedia or just a forum with contests?
What is it going to be this time around?

It was more like the "She is Here" ARG where it was a forum that functioned as a really indepth roleplay, complete with the "This is not a game" meme and everything.

It was actually kinda fun. (my username on there was the same as this one), and I was able to get a cute Tsukasa plushy that I'd been wanting for awhile.

Glad I checked around before I posted for this. I was totally confused about what this was, but there are ads for it everywhere on the site.

I just checked out a little info on ilovebees. It seemed like a really indepth game. Do you think this one will be anything like it?
