the azure jester greets and asks:
lo! has anybody gotten Custom Robo Arena for the DS?
what do you think?
I thought it was pretty good and all teh customization and battles have kept me hooked!! most reviews i've seen have a bad idea on this game so, i'd say find some way to try it out first.
p.s.: anybody know where to buy a cheap wi-fi/router?(yeah, it also comes with online battle X3 so i wanna get on it as soon as possible)

I hope it has a good story line
The last one has a crappy storyline but good gameplay and NO voiceovers. :[

here's a screen:
it actually has a LOT of parts for being contained in a small chip =D
I wanna get wi-fi though, so I can battle online.
extra:in the garage you can pose your bot to look cool, also, online, before the fight your opponent will see your bot's pose.
I love it!!

You don't have wi-fi?
Anyhow does this game have voice overs?

voice overs? a bit. definately during the battles and movie scenes. the battles are shown in full 3-D!!! and they. are. so. AWESOME!!
and you can get a lot of the Rays from the other series (though, no news on Ray 1...they're thinking about setting up a download station in stores)
it's actually hard to find this game so work fast!

I liked the N64 games, back when I first started importing and could only read katakana and hiragana. If I had a DS, this would probably be one of the first games I get...

whoa awesome never knew this existed for the DS
i've heard about the past games and the idea sounds really awesome to me. some months ago i actually played the n64 version for a bit and it seemed like something that could be really fun

I've never tried this game, but will buy it today because I spoil myself too much. Stay tuned for friend code.
EDIT: Got the game. Here's my friend code ---> 1675 9906 6331
Seems pretty fun so far. I just started and I'm at level 7. The battles seem pretty easy sofar but I'm sure they'll get more difficult before I'm ready. If anyone wants to play post, pm, or email me your friend code and the time that you will be connected. I'm free most of the time.

believe me, they do. later on you'll have to start relying(S?) on other robos (cause of their abilities in diff areas) and have to customize much more right before you press "BATTLE!" remember to check what your opp. uses before engaging battle. and on the level thing:
levels go like this:
(name) lvs, 1~9
at level nine you change class name (small powerups to your robo depends on your class) the power-ups are seen more clearly once you reach past 'master.'
...whew! =D

Yeah, I saw it jump from Beginner to Apprentice rank and it said that there were thirteen total ranks. It already did start to get harder for me on the second "day" and had to fight that guy at the robo-center.

try fighting the martial artist looking guy...
I was stillgetting used to the controls so I lost a few times before winning.
dunno bout you but my hardest matches are against the little tiny bots.
got tips on beating those? (especially Serene's sis)
...don't get intimidated by soulboost...I always lose whenever I use it so it seems to be more for looks and, as I said, intimidation.

Not even there yet. I haven't even owned the game 24 hours yet, and there's soooo many other games to play. I just beat Bull and now I'm supposed to fight Serene in the tournament. I'll probably take a break so I can finally finish G.U. vol 1. Is Soulboost the thing that Dennis was talking about that will turn your Robo gold?

yeah, but you won't learn soulboost until a few days after serene.
trust me, it's nothing special ( i've used it about three times and have yet to find it useful.)
btw: (trivia!) if you stand close to the mc on your DS the robo starts to get a bit stronger. looks like the game gauges your breathing through the MC to tell how into it you are and powers up robo. ex) my flame gun was doing about 7-20 dmg per hit. after a few tries testing this theory I got this:
normal: 7-20
breathing close to mike: 9-25
=) clever...
try not to waste SB though, even if it doesn't work fer me, it might fer you. and it takes about 10-15 battles to get a full gauge from zero every time (class rank allows a bit faster fill)
