Haseo's sadistic weapon

Post by Tri-Edge500 »

Hey guys, u all remember the really, really cool broad sword that resembles a chainsaw that was used by Haseo in volume one right (forgot the name). Will it be available in volume 2?

Yeah, all old weapons should be transferable to Vol 2 and 3. And if you want to know how to get Broad Legged (chainsaw sword) and Spin Gai Gu:

Really old topic... I remember because I posted in it. ^_^ Fever Horses drop Broad Legged, and should be found in level 17 (maybe 27) areas on the Mac Anu (Delta) server.

I like using the starter weapons. I still have them equipped and have +5 on all of them, except Ripper Blades.

I still use broad legged even past the end of the game (its not too strong and can set u up for multiple rengekis before killing an enemy)

Totally sucks that its the only charge attack type broadsword in vol 1. we totally needed more of that.

also, why couldnt the sword have the chainsaw going like in the cutscenes..and none of that crap about they couldnt do it. Piros's drills spin so why cant haseo fire up the demon centipede?

anyways, the starter weapons rock.

if you hold down (X) charge attack with the sword,
it will start to spin you can rotate the camera around him if you don't believe me.

Wait, the Gai Gu actually move? I'll have to take out Mutation and put Rebirth in to see. I thought they just kinda vibrated, even though they are the rapid attack type.

I know the Broad Legged spins. It spins if you do the hold and release, and the rapid attack part. Does it spin when you do any skills? I've tried looking, but I didn't see anything...

Err... after a little bit of thinking, I don't think it's broad legged. What I meant was the broad sword used by Haseo in volume 1 "before" he was data drained by Azure Kite. He used this sword to saw of Bordeux.

You think that a pyschopathic lvl 133 adept rogue nicknamed the terror of death would still use such a lame weapon  :!:

Yep, they are both the same weapon. Don't ask why Haseo was level 133 and fighting with Lvl 1 Twin Blades and Lvl 20 Broad Sword before he was Data Drained. It's just his thing... I guess...

Maybe Haseo could've beaten Tri-Edge if he wasn't so cheap and bought better weapons...

Maybe that's how he got KO'd in Roots by that chick even after he had become the Terror of Death.

Yeah. It was because it would be too hard and pointless to animate all the scenes with the possible equipped weapons in the game. They probably could've done it in the cartoons, but the weapons are like trademarks of the characters.

Well they sort of fixed that in G.U. by having the weapons not visable outside of combat. So only a few cutscenes actually have weapons drawn.
But even then its still noticable with Haseo. In cutscenes for 1st and 2nd forms he always has the gai gau and for 3rd form he always has his default scythe no matter what you may have had equipped before hand.
