In movie 3 of volume 2 what the heck is going on? My best guess is that Ovan is using his Rebirth ability but I still don't understand.

 Ovan isn't doing anything. Pi activated a transfer to get all of the players out of the "AIDA Server".

Rebirth Ability? I haven't heard of that before.

Please elaborate.

i think,and some pliz help me if im wrong.oh...and warning...this is a huge spoiler for volume three. ovans epitaph is The Rebirth.and to activate the abilty,he need haseo to defeat him.and upon defeat,Ovan activates rebirth,destorying the AIDA.

 Rebirth is an ability that Ovan has inside his epitaph as a failsafe created by herald.Upon being data drained properly(which is why it didn't happen in quarantine),His epitaph will initiate the ability of rebirth,which resets the entire internet at once,and also caused Ovan to go comatose due to him being at ground zero during the attack.Due to the reset of the internet,AIDA,which are naturally occuring things in the internet,until one mutated itself and the others causing the <tri edge> AIDA that infected ovan,were destroyed with any other non attached data in the internet,and also brouhgt back all the lost ones at the same time.
I beleive that Haseo ebing at ground Zero as well is what damaged him to the point of needing hacker repair and lead to his Xth form upgrade from skeith.

  Probably nothing. The Rebirth has to be triggered by being data drained by all Avatars at once (Or Skeith after fighting all the others.) The reason it didn't work the first time was because Skeith hadn't fought Fidchell yet so it was missing it' data. I think thats how it worked.

dont let the praise go to your head dude.....and corbinek from IMOQ had nothing to do with the avatars abiltiy.cept for the fact that he was essential to the Rebrith of...oh...i dunno...AURA!!!

I wasn't letting it go to my head,as I stated,I was just doing what anyone who knows woiuld have done....but before they could....
And Corbenik in //Quarantine had the failsafe built into it,it's just that 1)kite had no braclet,which really didn't matter because 2)it takes a drain from the amassed data of all the epitaphs to activate it,and Skeith and the others probably wouldn't have attacked Morganna so the chance of it activating was minimal.
It's not like Corbenik got stronger in the convertion,because Herald couldn't have built anything into it,due to him being reduced to the Floating Chair AI at the time,and having little to no power over the epitaphs at that point.
The point is that Corbenik DID have the power during IMOQ,it just never got activated.

He's right. Corbenic had the Rebirth Ability since day one. Same goes for all the other Phases and their abilities.

In fact, the Avatars are technically weaker than the original Phases until they get the Lost Weapons back.

Case closed.
Not much else to talk about in the way of the rebirth ability now...
