i noticed when my friend gave me the songs for GU and i compeard them from the original games and there almost the same someo of the songs are just speedy verions of the original did GU have any unique music for it self?

There were also less than eight battle themes all remixed with different melodies.

they could not come up with anything new lol
but i do admit its rather lazy of them to just speed up the tracks

Name 2 songs that are 'sped up' versions of old songs. Except for the 8 phases/Avatar Battle songs, seeing as those are totally related.

The two songs I was talking about are "questions of the creator"which is Haralds theme. It has the same piano though its an arrangement and not sped up or previously released. "Desire of Dawn" is also an arrangement of Auras theme with the same vocals. (both are in the g.u. ost 2) There are no sped up tracks even including the phase themes which just use some of the same sound effects from there original battles and all have new melodies.

A lot of the music from the original OST was transfered and remixed, such as the Phase music, Aura's theme, Cubia's theme, and perhaps others.

There a lot of songs that are unique to G.U.:

All of the Opening Demos.
All of the theme songs.
All of the Lost Ground themes.
All of the arena themes.
All of the Root Town themes.
Character themes, such as Terror of Death and Troublesome girl.

Most of the songs are completely new, but some are reminiscent of, or even remixed from, the old songs.

Well, instead of making a new topic, does the song "Twin Heavens City Breg Epona" sound like the "Aerial Fleet" song from IMOQ? The one that plays in the special areas, like the Mummy Ship. I haven't heard the song in the while, but it reminds me of it so much (I think it's called Aerial Fleet)...

Well, maybe it's just the beginning part. Either way, the song is very pretty...

I have a large selection of songs from g.u. on my ipod, mostly consisting of the Tomoyo Mitani tracks. I find her vocal songs on the first soundtrack much better though ost2 has some very good ones, that just sound a bit too similar.

i'm gonna have to agree there.

so does anyone kknow why they just repeat the same songs for each anime of .hack they do ? cuz i swear when i watched root and haseo was laying down on the grass and that warlock shino i think her name was, walked up to him and the background song was from hack//sign when tuskasa was in that place with arua key of twilight piano version i think it was if i find the epiode ill post it

The legal way is to buy them, and only from online sites that sell imports.
