yeah, masamune = total pwnage and another great sword is cloud's Bustersword.

then there is stuff like Squall's Revolver Gunblade and then the scythe that Haseo uses in //Roots (dunno the name)

some others i like are:

Vash's Gun (Trigun)
Tidus' Brotherhood (Final Fantasy X)
Nicholas D Wolfhood's Cross gun (Trigun)

yup, picking one is almost impossible, but i think i'd go with Haseo's Scythe

i just love Scythes, they're so badass ^___^

Another extremely wacky weapon:

"World's Most Interesting Bomb." Designed with technology to get kids to eat their vegetables, it will attract every single enemy in the area (Like moths to a light) before blowing up in their faces. From MDK1.

I also have a thing for Xigbar's twin energy blasters and Xaldin's six lances.

And I'm surprised no one has mentioned Gate of Babylon or something. xD

I think I've decieded that it's black cancer.

The black oil/cancer is the very essence of an alien life form which can kill or control any human which in inhabits. For decades the Syndicate was unnable to develop a fail-proof vaccine, and the cancer will most certainly be used in the alien invasion of 2012..

Really, the black oil is the most destructive biological weapon ever.
The only ones who will survive the alien holocaust are the aliens themselves and the alien-human hybrids they created as a slave race

Handgun: quite a fan of Revy's "cutlass special" 9mm handguns, simply for the fact that they had IVORY grips, though the Smith&Wesson 686 special .357 magnum snub nosed revolver is pretty high on the list too-- but that's mainly the fact that the thing is only 4'' long , weighs less than 2 pounds and fires magnum rounds.

Melee weapon: either Haseo's "lost" scythe or, hmmmm the lionheart gunblade from FFVIII (diamond blade anyone?), also Dante's "Ifrit" gauntlets from devil may cry were quite badass.

Mech weapon: Lix-10 linear cannon from Armored Core. Something about the equivalent power of a condensed nuclear explosion being fired from the shoulder of a mech is undeniably appealing.

The greatest weapon of all time is the Plothole. It does everything. Except appease nitpicking fans.
