Oh funny thing happened today while i was pting in (ironically) Valkrum Dunes. For kicks i decided to type in 1337, and i even changed my marcos in 1337 too. The pt leader got mad and /slaped me everytime i typed like that saying to type normally and stuff. I also talked to my LS using 1337 as well. they were like "lol whats with the leet?" Truthfully i though it would be funny to do that during the pt i got a good laugh out of it, and i didnt confuse the other part members to where they get messed up in battle. That will be my new favorite recent memory on FFXI lol
It's not a JP only function.There's a program you can download that will allow you to type in the Japanese characters, I have it on my PC. Also, you can switch from Japanese to English if you have the language packs installed, which is why a lot of JP players who know English will simply use it. Or...every once in a while they'll have switched over to eng to type something and forget to switch back and go on typing as normal except in romanji lol.
I was in a Japanese manaburn static for a long long time with my bard ,actually, and for a short time for BLM, only because I stopped leveling it for a while. That's the best exp I've ever seen
...That's why I hate Kuftal Tunnel...it seemed like every single time I had a pt there...Guivre allways poped and with WHM def...it was allways 1 hit KO lol. Oh, and then one time my party got wiped out several times over and instead of leaving, people went and got their higher level jobs or their friends, who then all got raped too XD
That was so sad...it was hallarious =/
Kuftal wasn't so bad when I was a THF and NIN my party die while I stay invisible.

Question: Does Guivre have True Sight or not? Sometimes you'd be invis and it'd walk right by you...other's it would notice you instantly, it's really weird.

I always figured it was because of smell. Which is why Deodorize was used

I don't think it has true sight, maybe hearing, but if you have invisible on and stand still behind a rock, it won't aggro you.
P.S As long as the whm in my party doesn't die then it's ok, as long as they don't get aggro first since, they have invisible, sneak, deo, and raise as long as they don't get aggro first.
