If you haven't noticed the epitaph(sp?) users are all different classes, so they might even be able to incorperate that. I.e Skieth, adept rogue. Magus, steam gunner, etc. Though there are a couple more than eight classes. oh well.
There are 11 classes. That, and we have 2 Steam Gunners. I don't think they would put Avatars, anyways.

Ovan and kuhn,
I believe(Here comes AurTwilight to bach me after this)that skeith chose an adept rouge personally, looking at class, because being the terror of death,it wanted to have a way to get stronger.
Also, did you notice that skeith has the most basic avatar? All the others had big extravagant attacks, are bigger that skeith, and can use data drain as an attack?
Skeith got ripped..but mabye that ties into adept rouges being weaker by nature than other classes....

Skeith didn't chose an Adept Rogue, just someone with an insane mind of killing people coldly. Skeith would've been with Haseo even if he was a Harvest Cleric, as long as he kept his habit of murdering people.

Skeith does has special attacks, but Haseo just doesn't knows how to use it correctly; or he's just scared to do so. You see, Magus never uses Data Drain, and Tarvos cannot do melee attacks. Each phase has it's own weakness and strength.

First,Skeith may have chosen an Adept Rouge, he displayed the ability to chose for himself when he almost left haseo
Also, the fact that all the other avatars and AIDA are bigger then him(noticed during AFK's azure wildflower, when he holds skeith in one hand.)
Tciks me off,but makes the battles cooler in a way.

One of the reasons for Skeith being smaller and weaker is because his speciality is different from the others, while the others are slow "tanks", Skeith is adeptable to all type of battles, he is very fast, attacks swiftly and can avoid most attacks easily.

Right!!!I forgot to count dashing, the ability to ward of other avatars and AIDA skills, and his 4 slash blast as abilitys.then the sword come into play..the spin attack....the powered up DD...
There,he is on level with the others.
Although,I'm stickinh to the free will theory about skeith and an adept rouge.
If you want to argue, make sure to read the last post I made here before this one.

Skieth is just as was in the first series. He has a weapon as his main means of attack and as such doesn't have much in the skills department.

Another explanation is the pure fact that bosses in games tend to be much larger than the player. Take Megaman for instance, puny character, huge bosses. The bigger they are, the bigger the threat they seem.

And sweeter is the taste of victory :D

Well, okay the conditions in which Skeith is found are for gameplay porpouses, but there must be some type of explanation, if not it would just means that Skeith is still the weakest Phase.

If you take of maguses tail, it's about the same size.

If you take of tarvoses wings, it's about the same size.

cornbenicks torso is about the same size as skeith.

if you take away the rediculously large flower, mach is about the same size.

gorre isn't that much bigger than skeith.

innis is big but it's also very wavy and soft, were as the bulk of skeith is on the center.

findchell I havent witnessed yet.

Skeith is probly made small for gameplay pourposes. but none of the opponets you fight are really enourmous.............. except  cubia. obviously.

Azure flame god.It can hold skeithh in one hand.
And alot of AIDA,even the first AIDA.
And don't tell me about taking off parts of avatars,or I'll just say this:
You take away seiths arms and legs and he's smaller that haseo.
The avatres parts are one with them, and can't be compared without them.
The fact that in gameplay hitting something amaller than you it hard would explain it.
