Magus's "Propagation power" Is exceptionally strong though, if we provide that it really can copy a person's entire character, personality and all. But that'll probably mean we get evil clone twin **** or something at one point. -_-
"NO, Haseo! I'm the real Atoli!" "NO ME!" "ME!"
Haseo has his big sword and he has to choose which one to kill, then randomly strikes one down.
"Oh my god, how did you know?" "The real Atoli had brown eyes. That one was glowing and had green pupilless eyes." "Yea, that does make it kinda obvious."
They hug, and Atoli grins as her eyes turn green. Dun dun dun.

I think the Dummy that Amagi used when they tried to rebirth Aura when all the data was lost caused the AIDA to form, because they're almost intelligent but seem to be evolving or single celled like things.
Either that the AIDAs are related to the old AI's that Aura created
I think Aura leaving and the second coming of Aura is related to the poem by WB Yates, and is analodgous to after Jesus died or modern times where we don't really have proof of a God and no one is here to help us.
I think Tri-Edge, or Kite's PC, Orca and Balmungs PC are the anti existance. Or maybe it's the AIDAs.
Thisis just speculation though.
And it is kind've obvious that Enderance is Elk, and Elk was the "chosen one" for Macha because of all the previous games.

Not necisarily, but I wouldn't be surprised nor would I rule it out

My theory is that the AIDA are the Anti-Existence, Tri-Edge is the Dummy Program, and Orca and Balmung are creations he made for his revival.

I bet you they show up in Roots (more of a joke about Roots than anything else). I'm not too sure he's the dummy program, his actions don't make too much sense for that role... The way he acts he's definitely not a "ghost" of Amagi. He's not attempting to link with the other avatars and fulfill his "mission". "Repairing" The World, fighting AIDAs, leaving marks, and data draining random PCs isn't part of the dummy program's job description by a long shot...

True, but he could be ghosting Kite, just like the Epitaph Weilders are mirroring the attributes of the Avatars.

If so, those random people would still be pretty hard to explain, unless he's actually trying to fix something... Also, that doesn't necessarily make it the dummy program, it could just be Kite's PC data, re-collected into a vagrant AI... Whatever the case, don't forget, "the true enemy lies beyond your imagination." I bet we haven't seen even half the plot twists yet...

hehe. yeah definately. there is still another volume of the trilogy to play out. not to mention whatever else goes on in the 2nd volume. also a crystal clear understanding of the first game won't be reached until the first volume is released; outside of japan. Any ideas for any 'unimaginalble' plot twists?

Well, some of us have a clear understanding of the first (and might even have one of the second before the first comes out here)... ^^;;;
Aura has become an enemy of humanity and the AIDA are the prototype for a weapon to ensnare them all? I dunno... ^^;

What i mean by clear understanding is a lot of people including myself can't read japanese... well i think i get the jist of the first volume. fun game. great story. i've pre-ordered it.
we'll probably see battle with Orca/Balmung and Tri-edge. The aida will play a much larger role. Yet since there is a 3rd volume, there would have to some huge plot developement. its probably still too early to start guessing on that one. ^^;;
it would be interesting to see at some point something that involves all eight phases appearing in avatar space all at once to combat ????? ya know? sort of like how a lot of players joined in the battle against corbenik.

I get the feeling that the Epitaph Wielders won't all end up on the same team. So far there seems to be several factions... The GU Team (Currently Haseo, Kuhn, Pai, Yata, and probably Atoli), the AIDA Team (which includes the AIDAs, and possibly Endrance and Sakubo), Tri-Edge and his gang, and Ovan.
It'll be interesting to see how it all plays out.

Except the Lost Weapons article gives away that Sakubo joins your party, not to mention that it seems like at least 7 of the wielders will be yours, just so you can get the weapons. Tri-Edge doesn't count, since he's not necessarilly an Epitaph wielder per se... I'm also pretty sure that after his initial disillusionment (and being frozen) Endrance has no reason not to help (kinda like Elk)...

wait... when you say Tri-edge doesn't count per se, does that mean he joins you at some point or you get his weapon?

No, at least not as far as we know, I just mean that he's not necessarily an epitaph wielder, we have absolutely no idea what he is... On the other hand, I must cover all my bases, and I just thought of something neat: If Tri-Edge is the dummy avatar, could his swords be the missing Lost Weapons (Tarvos's)?

Thank you very much for your hard work Pazuzu (and everyone els that were involved, if there were...).
And where exatly this whole Endrance being frozen thing came from Kuukai?
And what are these Lost Weapon's?

Both are from articles that have been posted around the forums, I forget the exact links though...

Well it's kind of obvious that Tri-Edge is actually Kite's player data, and Orca and Balmung are Orca and Balmung's characters in the old games, but that just makes it MORE confusing and makes you wonder about more questions!
Thanks Pauzu!

Just wanted to thank you, author of TD translations. It explains a good deal of things I wanted to know. Again, thank you for taking the time and effort to appease us hardcore fans.
