Aegis had ignored the ding signaling the arrival of a pm, she was talking with Isaac-correction Nyx, after all. She giggled at his edge punisher imitation, it was kind of over the top. Did I just giggle? System probably just translated my manly laugh into that. "Sounds like you and that L guy are going to get along famously then."Aegis said as she followed, hands behind her head, even though she had just used her "femininity" to get rid of L, she was surprised to find that she had such long hair and kept fiddling with it while they walked. "He was talking about fighting a PK called Virgin Blade."

At the quest shop, "Yo, we're looking for job extension." "Oh, hm, yes yes, I suppose you would be. That particular quest though requires a full party of three this time. I'm very sorry." "Three huh?" While L was being chased, she ignored the crowd of players chanting... something and flipped through her contacts. "Reks and Hiro are busy, huh Mila's in here too she's busy too though. I could call L back. What do you think, Nyx, should I call him or do you just want to wait a while on getting your sword?" While she was waiting for him to make a decision she went ahead and used the scrolls she had picked up to learn Repth and Gan Bolg and read the message from L. "Speak of the devil. L's sorry if he creeped you out before." Hm, Gan Bolg, earth type, neat.

A three person party, it seemed. "Well... Sure, call him" He sighed a bit "He sure seems like an interesting fella'...." Nyx glanced at the crowd and back to the shop's NPC "I'll buy the sword now... Just invite me and L to the party while i'm at it!" He ran off "Oh i forgot!" Nyx quickly spinned and threw some blue item at Aegis, resulting in his member adress.

Going back to running, the Weapon X shop was open; he decided to buy a rare weapon to celebrate early "Hmmm..." He stopped right in front of the shop and opened the door, walked inside and talked to the NPC-- Opening the shop list and glancing through the weapons "...!!!" He saw a weapon that would fit perfectly with him, he selected it and to his surprise, he could afford it! By a little.

He bought the sword, the same showing [Unequippable] on a side, and with his money resulting in 10GP at the end of the shopping. The sword had amazing stats and even had an included effect: Seal. No wonder it was so expensive.

He prepared everything and went out of the weapon shop, this time walking steadily towards the quest shop

Nyx and I are wanting to do the Job Extension quest, but we need a third. Nyx was hoping you would join us.

"Now we wait and see." She leaned against the quest shop counter, ignoring the little npc's protests, and people watched until the others got there.

L got the message as he was hiding in a trash can. "Oh, message from Aegis, what does she want?" L read, "ok, I'm on it" L sneaked out passed the mob and ran for Aegis and Nyx. " pant, pant," then animated, he stood up and leaned on the side of the quest shop. " sure, ill come. Ill be at much use, I promise you won't regret it." L was invited to the party.

As he got there, he saw L who had already got there and the party request. "Accepted the request now for the quest!" Although not such a smart thing to say, it helped Nyx to get accostumed and comfortable around more people.

"Hey Aegis, i found this pretty cool sword... It hurt my wallet though..." He looked at the counter and the NPC standing behind it "Ok just accept it and he should tell us where to go and what to do, right? After that, we get our second classes!" Nyx had an excited tone, similar to the one he had when describing his classes to Aegis.

Smiling, he just waited for Aegis to talk to the NPC and take the quest, after that they'd just have to finish it... He had read that they were very complicated, puzzling, hard and some players even said to have a headache while doing it, but if he could sit for a while to think he'll figure it out; and if he figures it out it'll be a piece of cake.

"Oh don't worry, I'm already regretting it." Aegis jested.

She raised an eyebrow at the sword, "Shiny. Let's get this ball rolling." She turned around and slammed her fist on the counter. "Ok, we got our party. Give us the quest." "Oh ho, so you do. Very well, Master Turtle will give you all the details once you reach the field." They all received a popup. Received Keywords, Delta: Pulsating, Unlimited, Metal Doll. "Ok, let's get a wiggle on."

Aegis selected the keywords from the list and they warped to the dungeon. An NPC with a giant turtle shell on his back greeted them. "Hello, hello, there's a certain item in this dungeon, a Training Shell, that I would like you to retrieve for me. Well, that's it. Good luck. I'll be waiting for you back at the Quest Shop." The NPC vanished leaving the party there. "Ok, so, it's probably at the end of this dungeon, yeah? Or maybe we have to beat a boss. Whichever, onwards!" Aegis drew her sword and led the charge. "Oh, yeah. Nyx, the fury mode thing. It lasts five minutes. Here, I'll show you." She pulled out her charophone and stood so Nyx could see while she found it. Her's was still offline since she had already used it in the last dungeon. "Got it?"

"Hey, let me try." L used his fury mode. "Ahhhhhhhhhh!!!!" He screamed on the top of his lungs like he was burning, his body didn't double in size but did get scary. His armor turmed crimson red for an alteration, and becoming more of a monster. Ripping out his new dual swords; Empty Skies, a high level weapon and slashed at a monster with a three blow attack in a triangle motion, leaving a mark behind. "Ok," he growled it lasts for five minutes until a level up, let's get this show on the road!" L and Nyx followed Aegis on the search for the Training Shell Item. L sent a pm to Nyx.

From the quest shop to the chaos gate, and into ΔPulsating Unlimited Metal doll. As they reached the area the NPC with the shell behind his back explained them they had to get the training shell, but never said where or from what.

As Aegis finished explaining nyx about rage mode, L used it in a rush and started attacking enemies "Not a good time for that..." Nyx followed behind as he noticed a monster party.

PM Received. Flashed on the screen, Nyx read L's pm and slightly smiled.

"Let's see if it's worth it" Rushing to the 3-monster party, his weapon gauntlets appeared in his hands, under his long sleeves as he dashes at one of them and knocked it back with an uppercut, followed by a quick succession of 3strikes being left, left, and a straight right. Finished with a skill trigger, jumping in the air and smashing the monster into the ground with a punch.

"2 left" Dashed at the smallest one and started the punching rush, then an uppercut; and as soon as the monster hit the ground glowing purple, he rushed at it, saying in unison with the action "Rengeki! King Hammer!" After dashing to the enemy he executed the skill, and after a few swift moves and hits later the monster was vanishing on the ground "Last one, not moving yet" He dashed at the almost frozen monster and punched it multiple times side to side "x15 Combo!" Pulled his left fist down preparing for an uppercut "Go...!" And executed the uppercut, leaving the monster in 1HP "...To the moon!" The monster hit the ground, the damage of the fall killed him "Well, tougher than they look... Are these... Magikarps?"

He looked at the last dissappearing monster, it looked like a red floating fish to him "Anyways... Anybody has a fairy orb? It should help us to see the map and go straight to the treasure chest, boss, or whatever it is waiting for us with the item!" Nyx had a new attitude on the field, more open... Maybe he was getting accostumed to these two

Aegis felt like dead weight compared to the other two. It seemed like they had been grinding since they logged in considering their levels compared to her own, and they felt much more comfortable with the combat system. It kind of made her regret not starting as a caster more. But it looked like adventuring was Nyx's element, so to speak, which was good. Mostly she used her spells to support the others, fortunately she was gaining experience, in more than one way, rather quickly.

"Fairy orb? Uh, yeah. I think I picked one of those up before. Yeah, here it is." As she held it up the orb burst into light and the fairies raced through the dungeon. A few seconds later her map was filled. "That's pretty cool. Looks like we've got at least one more floor of this dungeon. The route down is that way, but there are a couple treasure chests over the other way. Loot or scoot, which way Nyx?" L was there too, obviously, but she figured being in charge would be good for Nyx. And she felt more comfortable following his lead than a stranger.

"Not to get in the way," L said, " id say we loot just a bit, ill do it." L ran towards the chests in different rooms and came back. "Here," he said giving the others a fair share, " 2 health drinks, 1 fairy orb, and 2 scrolls of the same; Van Don." He gave Aegis a scroll, and health drink. While Nyx was given the other scroll and health drink. L kept the fairy orb. You guys want to prepare just in case for a boss? I still have 3 minutes left.

"Well, we shouldn't waste our time now, let's hurry to the other floor" Nyx ran towards the stairs leading to the next floor followed by the others "I'm not planning to use my rage mode, i'm good as i am; after all i'm a few levels ahead of you two" On his way to the second floor he remembered what Aegis had said to him about L looking for a PK 'Party Chat' "Hey L, Aegis said you were looking for a PK? Virgin Blade i believe... By the name i'd take a wild guess and say it's an edge punisher..." He got to the second floor before the others, noticing it was a straight tunnel then had more intersections "I'm at the second floor."

He opened the browser on his charophone and made a quick visit to the boards of the game "Keyword Search: PK, Virgin Blade, Misterious PK" and for his surprise, there was a topic dedicated specially for this PK "So, it looks like" He opened the topic as he walked forward, waiting for the other two to catch up "Looks like it's a girl character, shadow warlock... She was first seen today... So she shouldn't be much of a threat, and even less if we finish this quest and get our second classes...".

"I just remembered!" He closed his charophone and almost yelled "The sword i bought! It has a Seal effect!... It means if i see her and hit her with it--" He was hoping that L and Aegis had a clue of where he was going "She would barely be able to attack... Hahah..." He stood before the door that separated the entrance from the rest of the dungeon "I'll see how much can a mindless PK can endure in the battlefield with a Technician such as i..." He grinned in excitement for this new challenge

Virgin Blade sighed as she grinded levels in pointless Quests. Scrolls were hers to take and she didn't like how this game was going. “Chaotic” was nothing. She was just a PKer; nothing special. It bore at her very soul. Her body count was high, her level was higher. She just finished off her final elemental skill. Ani Zot was finally in her queue, but Zan Rom and Gan Bolg were much faster, It wasn't even a contest. The skills were what filled up her skill trigger, she just needed her advanced skills, and hopefully her prayers would be answered and Casters would have Level 3 Arts.

Her hatred built up inside her and she could feel her emotions overrun her. “Dammit! Dammit! Dammit! I want to be a PKer! I want to be number one! Dammit! Dammit! Dammit all!” Her players started sprouting indigo waves, and her player's eyes turned yellow. “Ahhhh!” She cast a spell and Yarthkins was summoned. Her HP was draining with each second these shadows covered her, but all she could do was stare in disbelief. “I-I... t-this is unreal...” She whispered. Her eyes narrowed and she laughed maniacally, “Yes! Yes! This is it!” She stared at her hands the indigo waves surging. “I'll finally show all those bastards! HAHA!” She snickered. “Oh god... why is my health so low...” she cast Repth on herself and noticed she gained back a serious chunk of her health. “Whoa... my spells... they're more powerful!” She laughed and looked at Yarthkins, “Hey there beautiful. Me and you are going to get along just fine.” Virgin Blade smiled sincerely and soon her indigo shadows faded, and with them Yarthkins.

Virgin Blade entered town, her health restored and wandered through town. Her grimoire was high leveled, it looked like a worn leather book and a wooden stave, it had an earthly feel. “Uggh... this full immersion is weird... that made me feel exhausted for real.” She was quiet. “I wonder if everyone can use the shadows like that... how'd I even trigger it?” Her questions were aloud and before she knew it, a group of quest runners surrounded her. Many of which she'd “bitten.”

“That's her!”

“It's that Virgin ****!”

“Oh... That's not a name CC Corp. will like.” Virgin Blade looked down condescendingly on her opponents. “I am the Bloody Sonia, I am a Chaos PK. The likes of you will never match me. If you've been PKed by me once you're doomed to the endless cycle of samsara. And I am death, destroyer of worlds. Fight me if you dare. The end will be the same.” Her eyes darted away, she was bored and everyone could see it.

"Huff huff," L panted along with Aegis to Nyx, "Yeah, she's like a monster. I gave her an hour challenge, then after a while, I read about me being spotted along with her and found ourselves famous. 'The Pk and new PKK,' but something was 'odd' about her though." L remembers in memory before the fighting. "She said she was 'Chaotic', think that she might gain a few more levels last time I saw her." L faced them both in confusion. "Hey, wasn't there a Lore about this game back in the G.U. games a few years ago? Something about the 'Key of Twilight' and the Eight Phases?" L seemed lost, "Gah!" He put his hand on his face, "something...somthing..." he turned to Aegis, "Aegis, what do you think?"

Aegis shrugged, "Sorry bro, I got nothin'. I just started and I was more interested in the concept and mechanics of the game than whatever the lore is." She lightly punched Nyx's arm. "Hey, if you're not planning on using that scroll. I'd like it. I've only got the one actual offensive spell as it is and I like to keep my options open. Especially since it frees up SP for me to use Repth on you two front liners."

"Hehahahaha," L laughed out loud, "front liners, good one. Here, have a scroll for lightning and another for ice." He gave the scrolls to Aegis. "Hey Nyx, what's your fury/rage mode? Does it let you have that broadsword?" L asked Nyx. He folded his arms back, closed his eyes and smiled at Nyx, "My Job Extendtion is Edge Punisher next. So I can uses broadswords, anytime after this. If you can't use your sword for your next JE or your fury/rage mode, mind if I use it 'til you get your final job? I promise ill give it back to you if you do."

(Yes new members are welcome, and a special thanks to you Kale for keeping the peace in situations that require discipline and or teaching. On a side note, I would like to personally acknowledge Azure_Kite for, the young member who was once a cancerous growth has grown tremendously in character and spelling/sentence structure. AK congrats. Also, another side note: I'm setting each characters level to 5 EXCEPT Virgins Blade who will be level 15 to fit her back story. This also unfortunately means that Empty skies, which is a level 70+ weapon, cannot be equipped at this time, also Mila will become an official character of the cleric variety. A long with that, I'll remind you that fury mode is only once per level, app for mila:

The tavern was a dank place, and Hiro could smell the mildew. There were many questionable patrons at the bar and there were even a few trading "stat" potions for actual cash. However, no matter how dank the place happened to be, it was still where Hiro ended up, alone. Mila had initiated party chat right away but had yet to discuss anything. She sat back in the wooden chair, a grumpy frown on her face, and stared into the tea in front of her. Hiro sat adjacent to her, and didn't feel much like initiating conversation either. What happened had shook him severely, the images of the players choking just wouldn't stop choking. He had already checked the news, and it was plastered as a headline. 'Dot Hack Living Up to Legacy' it sounded nice, but as he read the article his mood only darkened. The article took a turn and had began discussing the Play Station releases, such as .Hack//GU, and how their story evolved around the game causing comas. (Remember A New World is actually the first "Real" .hack game) and then suddenly, the article took form. 'Joshua Macalester was found dead two hours ago, still attached to his gamesphere. Authorities have yet to determine cause of death, however they are certain that the victim did not die of natural causes.' Hiro couldn't stop himself, he removed his gaming equipment, and vomited in the floor next to his bed. The picture given of Joshua's player character matched exactly with the PC they had seen hanging. It was a struggle, but Hiro was able to pull his visor back on after cleaning his mess. "Mila, was it? Reks is right. We won't bite. But we need you to help us...just..tell us what happened?"

Mila sighed, shaking her head, causing her short brown hair to wave slightly, "Like I said. I did voice acting for Cc corp. I voice all the tutorials, except the job extension information. For that they used Josh's voice. I remember getting home and suddenly being attacked by that goblin...I was strung up next to some other person. What I don't remember is how I'm here, in this world. I mean, when I log out, I AM at my house, laying in bed, but...I don't know how I even got logged in. I didn't even own a copy of the game."

"Two scrolls huh? You been hoarding them?" Joked Aegis. "Seriously, thanks. I'll use them with extreme prejudice."

They were nearing the final room when she opened a chest and got a new weapon. "Ugh, that's a terribly lame name for a sword. I mean, statistically it's a little better, and has lots of Earth bonus though." She switched to it, swung it around a couple times. "Not really feeling it. Oh yeah, I can customize, can't I? Let's see if I can't get that earth bonus over... here!" She transferred the soil bug antenna to the blade she had originally bought. A symbol appeared on the sheathe and a brown glowing version was inscribed into the blade itself. "Yeah, I think this is gonna work."

Hiro froze. "Josh did voice acting? As in Josh macalester?" Mila just nodded, and Hiro decided to keep the information of his death a secret for now, he didn't want to think about it anymore.
Hiro pulled the charophone from his inventory and scrolled down to messages, and then compose.

Guys, there has been some development in Mila's case. Let's meet up by the chaos gate soon, I'll bring mila and explain there. 

Although Hiro had placed no text in the subject section, the moment he sent the message the area was filled in as: Oz is near. Then suddenly Hiro froze. He was no longer in the tavern. As he tried to move he found he was bound to a table. Above him stood a humanoid being. The man pulled something wet off of the tray nearby and began to line Hiro's face with it. When he ran out of the red substance, the man would go to the edge of the room, and remove more from a dark corner. Hiro struggled, until he was able to free his arm from his bindings. He freed the rest of himself and attacked the man, sending him sprawling. But what stunned Hiro was not the syringe the man had stuck in him, but the skinless bodies of two warriors in the corner, still bleeding. They wore belts with only one word written on each. Ben on one, and Kyosuke on the other. Hiro let out a scream, and suddenly he was back in the tavern, a knife in his hand. All patrons were staring at him.

As Aegis equiped her weapon, a tattered winged, red flying monster swooping down from the dungen ceiling. SCREEECH! The players were stunned in place as the monster swooped down and grabbed L off the ground. L's fury mode was shut down and coudn't slash at the bird's feet, he was too grippeed to move but flailing his arms up and down. "Like, heeeeellppp!!!" L screamed. In the real world, L's player behind the screen was not interrupted as he was playing.
"Holy shhhhhhhiiiiii........." L continued to scream as he was flying in the air, away from the gound, going higher, and higher.
