"So, as long as the attack was not made by the enemy, there are no after affects... besides the need for healing of course." Chaos thought as he scanned his inventory and used a few resurrect items on the two of them.

"I don't recommend doing that again. These guys... if their attacks hit you, it hurts like as if the attack was made on you in real life. I don't even want to THINK about what it would be like if they made an attack on you and that attack kills you. I thought I said..." Chaos says calmly as he changes his glance from looking at the two ladies to the enemy. "If ANY of us are to die here, it will be me and me alone. Hikaru... you and Rein stay here. Glace... you go on ahead. I understand now what must be done. While we pawns, accompanied by a queen, distract the enemy's queen and knight here... We must send our bishop and rook to protect our king, while taking out the enemy's king. You and your party go on ahead of us into the cathedral, find the target, and eleminate it so that we may be done with this mission. If it gets too bad, get to safety and heal. Keep in contact via the Genesis chat made by Hikaru." Chaos told them in the Genesis chat menu. He held out his blade and smiled, switching over to normal chat so that Mino/Adam could hear him.

"Ladies, you two stay back and use ranged attacks. Let me take care of the close range stuff. Hikaru and Rein, that's good, just keep that up..." He says noticing that Hikaru was attacking Mino/Adam while Rein healed her, as well as offered attacks of her own, both ranged and twin dagger hits.

Chaos closed his eyes for a split moment to collect his thoughts before drawing his blade and smiling. He then charges in at the enemy using the skill 'Tiger-Blitz', doing a small amount of damage, but accompolishing it's main use of getting him closer to the enemy. He then continues attacking with normal and charged attacks.

Hikaru retreated just for a moment and analysed the scene in front of her. Their attacks weren't working, they were all being nulified by something. That something was probably...Adam. She frowned and concentrated on Minoshiya, then a blue glass-like screen appeared in front of her right eye. It was like some sort of FMD that normal Players would use, but the eye piece was transparent blue and it hovered in front of her eye.

"At this rate...we'll just be wasting our resources..." the Multi Weapon muttered angrily in Genesis Mode. "Attack him normally for now, create a distraction while another plan is formed," she told the others and sheathed her Twin Swords. A transparent blue Brandish then solidified in place of her Twin Swords. It had a hilt with an angel wing-like adornment.

"Your main goal now is to buy time until we can form a soloution to this matter! Do not use items! Attack normally and healing will be left to Rein and me!"

He couldn't help but giggle and watch their moves being a weak attempt at him, his blocking of attacks even nullified a few normal hits which proved the level difference in them. Even as he seemed to enjoy the battle outside, inside was real turmoil.

Do you see that? Look at how they attack you! They want to kill you! Let me control the body! Let me Win! Adam wasn't in control of the battle whatsoever, he may have taken over the body but everything was Minoshiya will and power, he worked this far. He worked for this power and strength. " Uraki and Hilkaru should understand fully why I'm like this! " He had shouted out, jumping back as he swung his sword and small orb rings of AIDA had shot out and circled themselves around Hikaru, Glace, and Chaos. " I wanted power to save you from AIDA, when you got infected I worked so hard..slept so little...trained and took so many battles while being inside his hell of a game! Every hit a monster did to me felt real! " He had said, raising his sword as HP and SP suddenly got taken from their bodies and into the orbs as they all lit up one by one.

Rengeki! Sin Harvest!

The orbs drained their health and energy, suddenly returning back to Minoshiya as he regained his own health and increased his own HP. " I wanted to save you, I was willing to give everything...Uraki you did this to me! " He had shouted out, holding his hand out as a formation of AIDA appeared in front of him and arms stretched out and went forward herassing every one of them searching for an opening for infection. " So...I did the reasonable thing. " He had stated calmly.

" Do any of you know what it's like to link with AIDA? " He had asked calmly as he watched them struggle with the arms. It was hard to control and make spells and such, he was preventing them from healing. " It's as Sweet and Seductive as making a Deal with the Devil. " He had started to giggle, watching them.

Chaos felt his body loosing energy and strength. "This is nothing like the fight with Mydraal. This guy is in a whole other league than Mydraal. Chaos thought as he tried to continue analyzing the situation.

"Minoshiya... if you truly wanted to protect eeryone from AIDA, then why did you merge with it? Why are you fighting us? We are not trying to attack you, but instead, the creature that has taken over your body. If you are truly human and care about the rest of us, then why don't you fight alongside us against our common enemy?" Chaos asked as he stood back to let his pc's natural restoration rate to kick in.

He snickered, shaking his head and watched them starting to get annoyed by this. Chao's words had hit nothing inside of him. " Should Traitors and backstabbers be helped...? I talked with Uraki and Hikaru several times before....all of you are nothing but murderers...You all killed Mydraal! Murderer's deserve to get punished don't they!? Repent for your sins! " He had demanded, looking past Chaos and then at Applegate.

" Eve won't forgive you at all, after saving you from your pitiful death you turn on her? An interesting Judas.. " He had whispered, shaking his head as he raised his hand an a apple formed above his hand. " Fruit of Knowledge!!! " He had shouted, the apple suddenly turning everything offcolor as the background of the sky and the giant crater had disappeared as it replayed the scenes from the LOCKED incident.

" Mada is a failed program and so is Eve...Even Aura herself is a false God. Work with humans...use humans?! What a joke! The World is filled with Sinners and Devils, and yet Even dares to think of a paradise with them!? " Adam seemed much more different than Even, he even seemed to ignore her commands and words. An AIDA that rejected it's master?

"We did not intend to kill Mydraal, despite what you believe. We did not kill the pc body, instead we destroyed the AIDA form he'd taken. What we committed is no more murder than a 20 lb gorilla killing a human because the human had threatened the gorilla's habitat and it's very life. If you continue to harm us, then all you were hoping to accomplish, Minoshiya, will be for naught. It will not be we whom are the murderers, but you. Even now, I still feel the injuries I'd sustained fighting Mydraal. If this continues on, then the person that should be controlling Chaos in the game shall perish. My real body will fade, leaving my pc body as nothing more than an empty set of 1's and 0's that form something that LOOKS human. Chaos will not have a consciousness, will have no strength, and once my internet or power bill would be due, he would fade out of existence into nothingness." Chaos said as he relaxed his mind and continued to think of a way to win this fight.

He looked down and watched some of the events of the LOCKED incident play by. He saw Shadow and Glace talking about a plan of action as to how they would progress forward. "Shadow... I'm sorry. I guess I wasn't a good enough replacement for the real you. Maybe you'd have been able to reach him." Chaos lamented as he returned his gaze to Minoshiya, awaiting a response.

Hikaru dropped onto a knee, suddenly. She was surprised that a single skill such as that had such an effect on her. She gritted her teeth and forced herself to stand. An azure orb floated around each of the Players and glowed brightly, then sank into the character bodies. Their HP was restored to full health.

"As long as everyone is here to fight with their lives, none of you will sustain injuries in that manner," Hikaru muttered and gripped her weapon. She trembled slightly, but she sustained it and then charged at Minoshiya, weapon first.

Another clang of weapons striking rang through the scenes of the past. "There are many things we regret in the past, but because of those mistakes, we can move forward. What you are doing is--" Hikaru suddenly cut herself off as the scenes from the past reflected in her eyes.

No, not now, Uraki!
...Mino...

Hikaru suddenly bolted uprght and growled. Her body was engulfed in azure light and then the light faded. Hikaru was back to her original form and Uraki stood behind her. "Dammit," the Multi Weapon swore angrily and held out her normal Brandish weapon in front of her.

At this rate...we won't last...

Hikaru managed to parry an attack or two from Minoshiya and she managed to deal some out, but neither of the two had hit each other...yet.

Both Rin and Ren screamed as their HP and SP was drained from them. This was their first time actually getting hurt from an attack like this, the first time they could feel pain in real life.
"Damnit!" Ren groaned. Her whole body felt drained and tired, "T-thanks, Hikaru-sama..." The younger Multi Weapon added feebly, as Hikaru healed them.
"R-R-Ren... Look!" Rin whispered shakily.
The twins watched as scenes from the LOCKED Incident replayed, awe evident on their faces.
"Come on! We have to have a plan!" Ren shouted desperately, looking around the group. She noticed that Hikaru and Uraki were separate again.
Great...
Unable to stand it any longer, Ren looked at their opponent, growling angrily, "You're mad! Damnit! I'm sick of listening to you! Just shut up!!"
"Ren!" Rin groaned warningly, shaking her head.

I ignored the flashing events taking place before me. "Judas..." I said with wide-eyes. "I am not... Judas..." I fell to the ground as the tears fell to the ground, extruding from my eyes. "that means... Eve..." I took a breath in. "You killed her didnt you!! I Pity you! You call me Judas, when you are Pontious Pilote! I am no more a traitor than you! Killing the being she cured. Hating what she helped! Blessed are the Pure of Heart. Are you pure Adam? NO! Your a filthy black hearted bastard. Even if you didnt kill my God! You are still nothing more than a crown jutting into her head! You are a handicap!" I rose to my feet and drew my sword as and echoing began in my head. 'Kill them...' It said. 'Kill them all...' I answered. 'What? Is this me?' 'KILL!' it shouted. 'Kira?' 'No...' It responded, 'I am you... and you are Kira!!' I felt my eyes shifting back and forth in my skull. "Your gone! Your gone!" I cried.

"You are me... There is no escaping it..." I spoke to myself.

"Your Dead!!"

"But your alive..."

"Im tired of running."

"You cant run from yourself. Use me child, use me!!"

"NOO!"

"Im powerful... think of your God!"

"My... God? Eve? Power? ...Kira... Ill use you once again..." Suddenly I threw myself to the ground as I began to mutulate. My arms gained spikes, and my eyes turned a blood red. Two floating rings appeared above my head. Halos. 'Even if I am Judas... he was still an angel...' I drew my blade and pointed towards Adam. "Together we Stand!!"

He couldn't help but giggle, this is what he wanted. Anger; Hatred; Evil to spread among their hearts. " That's right, hate me! Come on you pathetic mortals! Show me what those useless hearts of yours can do! " He had demanded, Hikaru and Uraki were falling back and their so mighty strategy that they used on Mydraal was faltering. Their friendship was clouded by a sense of frustration and anger.

He raised his head up and the LOCKED incident, having found it more amusing that it was sad. How everything was so much simpler back then, even Mada and a trapped Eve was there, so easily to kill and fragile and yet he was dealt the wrong hand and was trapped within the mind of a idiotic brat. Then again...

He looked back down to Hikaru and giggled as he mouthed a few words, knowing she most likely knew what he had said as he was finding this more of a way to show them their weakness rather than a battle. Getting on their nerves and pointing out the chaos they were in was far too easy. " I am past Eve and Aura herself! What I've obtained..the knowledge of the True World and Human Mind can never be matched by any other, I've become a Messiah for AI's and I know you Humans are Flawed by nature. " He had said as he spread out his arms as the battles within the incident started to play out. " You Humans have no other way to solve problems other than to destroy it and point your weapons at it, God has really given up on you all. After all Humans such a myself are meant to have gone past the angels and supposed to have been matched to God, and yet...Eve...well you know the story on her and the devil, myself and such. " He had said waving his hand as it wasn't important. The scenes in the background had changed to points of where each person had gotten infected by AIDA now as he raised his head and watched the beautiful scenery of their pained faces and watched them give in.

He turned his head past them and over the Chaos Gate having seen Minoshiya's infection. That was always amusing for him to see, even question half the time. The fact Adam was even interested in Mino was due to the process of infection, he had watched the boy fall to his knees and his eyes turn black. And yet....

The infection was rejected, he had mouthed words and shook his head ignoring the many painful things that would happen if he did reject it. Uraki and the rest gave in so easily, yet his so called bond of friendship and need to get power had caused the infection to stop. At that point Adam had watched and taken over, it was most likely easy to tell through the crimson eyes. Adam and Hikaru, even Eve weren't AIDA in their entirety. More like evolved versions that had a existence within the anti-existence, such beings existing within the system itself caused them to control AIDA, yet Hikaru turned her back on such things...

He looked back down to Uraki and Hikaru, having felt a sense of disgust now. " Perhaps...this was First Love.. " He had whispered, absent minded as he raised his sword again and waited for the wave of attempted assaults at him.

"God... for someone whom thinks of himself so highly, you apparently forgot a few important details..." Chaos says keeping his calm. "Detail number 1, you can stop referring to yourself as Adam. The real Adam from the 'old-testament' is a man whom loved all living things, be they the same species as him or not, he loved them indifferently. You however only care about yourself. If it were otherwise, you would not be wanting to turn us against one another by showing us these scenes of the past, trying to frustrate us into believing we are more flawed than we really are. Of course the human race has flaws. Even so, Mankind has existed longer than your race has. Hell, if it wasn't for us, you would not EXIST. WE made the computers, WE developed the internet, WE host the servers for others to connect to. Humans developed the first AI, even though all they were made to do at the time was to play simple games like chess, checkers, etc." Chaos says boldly, looking directly at Minoshiya.

"What I'm trying to get at is... Mankind provided the basic necessities for your life, they can also take it away. EVEN IF that means destroying other people in the process so long as they have good enough lawyers to cover up the casualties with nice words. All they'd have to do is isolate this server, disconnect it from the network, and then delete everything on it by running a complete system format. If you couldn't be deleted, then a well placed jackhammer or other blunt object would do the trick." Chaos says calmly with a smile.

"Face it, the moment you pose a great enough threat to mankind, you'll be destroyed. If japan doesn't do it, those American b@$t@rd$ probably would." Chaos finishes his speech without any sign of remorse or regret in what he'd said.

At the this time Glace was standing behind Chaos as he countered "Adam's" words. Glace couldn't help, but wonder if the AIDA even knew what computers were or if he even knew of the existence of the Internet. In any case, we can't give into Adam's trap. Chaos is telling the truth; we must not allow him to blind us with anger and hatred. Such feelings will only make us take rash actions without even thinking straight. We'll all be in danger!He thought, gripping his blade even tighter, but then he let his anger go and felt the overwhelming emotion vanish from his body. Glace took a deep breath and smiled as he looked at Adam. "It's obvious that blinding us with rage and hatred was part of your plan, Adam...but I know that that is not going to stop us. Because, we as humans, can also control our emotions." Glace walked pass Chaos who stood in front of him and got closer to the enemy with his sword at the ready. "Everyone! Please forget the anger! Do not let it control you! That is his plan! We must not allow ourselves to be played by Adam anylonger!" He yelled. He could see Adam's red eyes starring at Glace almost calmly. He knew he wouldn't be bothered much, but it was a start.

Glace glanced at Applegate who looked slightly different from before. "Applegate. . .do not let your rage control you. Instead, control it yourselve and use it's power to your advantage." Glace knew Applegate was probably having the same issues come upon him once more. If it was indeed his illness then there was nothing he could do, but use it as a weapon without letting it control him.

Glace closed his eyes for a moment. He was beginning to have a big headach with all this screaming and talking. The sounds of thunder seemed more intense aswell. It was definetly not the time to worry about a headache.

Glace returned to look at Adam and smiled at him. "To you...we are probably just toys, am I right? Hmph. Doesn't matter. We won't let ourselves lose to someone as insane as you." He said. "And guess what, Adam...no one is perfect. Not me, not Eve,...not even you. There is always a flaw. And yours...your flaw is...Minoshiya."

"Glace has a point. You may think your perfect... the ultimate being, but your still clinging on to a human life. I wonder what you'd really be without Minoshiya. Without his body and power to back it up, would you still believe that you are any better than we are?" Chaos said, trying to provoke Adam.

"If we can use his idea against him... make him angry instead of him making us angry... the odds will not be much better at our victory, but that's still a little better than what they are now. And if we can get him to abandon Minoshiya, or maybe even reach Minoshiya himself through our words, we'll have one more ally to help us against Adam, don't you agree? You and Minoshiya used to be allies during the locked incident, am I correct?" Chaos asked Glace in a private conversation before turning his attention back to Adam.

"Minoshiya... If you truly do not want us to be overtaken by AIDA, then you will need to help us. You'll have to fight him. Resist his madness and persona and retake your body as your own. I'm sorry we couldn't get through to Mydraal. The AIDA had infected him so thoroughly that we couldn't reach the player. I don't want something like that to happen again. Wake up and regain control." Chaos said to Adam and the player he'd taken over. "Stop this before it's too late!" He shouted, a slight bit of anger in his voice. However when they'd look at his face, he looked calm and relaxed.

"YOU ARE NOT GOD!" I screamed throughout the consant chatting. My voice merged with Kiras, we were finally one; one whole being, not two... Maybe I was simply fighting myself this whole time... fighting the things that make us human... anger, hate, passion, love. All the things Kira was. No More...

"Apple..." Miles said raising a hand to her mouth. "Wha-...ts happening to you..." The area froze slightly.

I turned slowly as my pupils bore into her. "God..." I choked on my words. "Damn... God." I drew my sword and charged at Adam once again, ignoring Glaces warning. "Rage cannot be controlled! Its like a sickness that overtakes you... Fighting it is futile!!" I screamed as I dug my blade into Adams arm, causing little damage. I jumped back and switched to my Steam Gun. "Religion... only ever brings... WAR!" I pounded onwards with my gun, releasing about 3 bullets per second.

Glace saw as Applegate lost control over his rage and rushed recklessly towards Adam, stabbing his arm and then withdrawing back only to switch into a steamgunner and begin shooting like crazy at Adam.

"Apple!" Glace yelled, sheathing his blade away quickly and running towards him. "Enough already! You'll get yourself killed!"

Damn. This isn't good. If he keeps up this nonsense, Adam will find an open spot and attack him, probably taking him down. And if that happens. . .we'll have one less guy on the team and our chances of winning will serisoully decrease. I have to stop it!He thought and approached AppleGate from behind.

"Applegate, stop this right now! You can't allow your rage to control you. Not now!" He insisted, not knowing what to do.

"Now you're all blabbing on!!" Ren shouted, clearly not taking the situation much better. Shaking her head, she muttered, "Why do we just stand around talking?! We have to do something!!" Her voice rose to a scream.
"R-Ren..." Rin whispered, clearly desperate, "..If... If you do something stupid- I'll- I'll tell mum!"
"WHAT?!"
The two both began arguing, leaving their character standing blankly as their shrill voices (Most of which were Ren) could be hear from their microphone. One of them knocked the controller onto the ground and caused Rein to slip over, laying in a heap on the ground.
"Now look what you've done!"
"I didn't me to..."
"Well fix it now, or else I-ll-"
"Apple-san!" Rin exclaimed suddenly, looking frightened as she forced their character back into a standing position, "What're you doing?"
"Idiot!" Ren growled, following Glace as she tried to catch up to Applegate, "You really need to learn to think before you act! Stop it!"

"Goddammit Applegate!" Hikaru shouted angrily and held out her hand to Uraki. Without another word, the Harvest quickly formed herself and became one with the Multi Weapon again. We need to end this. She quickly opened her wings and flew behind Applegate, then gripped his firing arm and grabbed the gun with her other hand.

There was a sudden locking sound and no more rounds were fired from the weapon. A note rang clearly through the air, even though thunder sounded loudly from above. Applegate suddenly hovered in mid-air and was unable to move. "While you're like that, FOCUS!" Hikaru roared angrily and drew her Brandish again.

Hikaru glowed bright azure, her eyes completely focused on Minoshiya. "Just because your words work on the hearts and minds of the weak, don't think your words will protect you from everything," she muttered angrily and went into a battle position.

Adam just giggled as his body had taken in every bullet and left small holes within his figure, his body having taken back a few steps as he raised his head once seeing Hikaru and Uraki stop Apple from his so much temptation, he just giggled again as the bullet holes had started to close upon themselves. His body was practically like AIDA now, having healed as if his entire figure was a liquid.

" That little outburst and your eyes of hatred just showed me everything I need to know, all of you can't be trusted. " He had commented using his original voice as he made another apple appear in his hands. " I'd think this side is safer since I've been dealing with murderer's this whole time. And don't give me such practical lies such as 'Mydraal was too far gone' and that he couldn't be saved, you have administrators on your side don't you? " He had said, smirking as he knew the plan all too well due to Zero having data drained one of the admins before during the tournament. " Tell me...why aren't they doing anything besides giving you orders...? It's obvious they know all of us and watched from this point on...yet...you guys seem to follow them blindly. " He had commented, wondering where this loyalty was coming from. Did they even know what they were fighting for?.

" I'd think if it wasn't for Glace and Hikaru none of you would know what to do...less of the chance you'd be even fighting. " He had said, questioning the fact if they knew what they were getting into even. " These are people's lives, and you all seem to act of it as a game. " He had commented having snapped his fingers as the LOCKED scenes disappeared and now people actual people were visible and shown in bed's. " Mydraal, Nephilim, and Mysellf...our lives are running on this and yet all of you seem to be more concerned with a simple game of helping a AI meet another AI! Instead of trying to figure out a way to help us-you're killing us! " He had said out with anger now filling his voice, their lack of compassion was faulty and he couldn't stand it anymore.

He had disappeared and reappeared within the middle of them all, his hand reaching out and grabbing Miles's throat and raising her off the ground a bit as his other hand reache dinto her PC's stomach and he watched her squirm and open her mouth as no noise had come out. " Feels real doesn't it?...This is really nice.. " He had said as the sound of something cracking could be heard and then Miles had screamed finnaly. Adam/Minoshiya having thrown her body at down and watched them spread due to the sudden danger of having him so close. " Heh, she fainted...and all I did was give her heart a small squeeze.. " He had said, suddenly laughing again. " You're all so weak...what's the matter!? Don't you want to kill me!? " He had shouted out to each of them as he turned his head and waited for Apple's outburst, having known the small bit of love they had confessed to eachother in front of the Cathedral. "I don't think myself and Eve would appreciate your so called same sex love actually, especially in front of the Cross. That was why I placed a small little Seed in her stomach, a very fine present from me. " He had said, giggling like a madman at this point as he stared up at the sky.

(( I crossed the line wtih the last comment that is why I will now say that Adam/Mino's comments do not represent MarioShinobi's view on sexual partner choices, nor do any other of his comments from this point on or any other future characters that Marioshinobi creates. Patent pending, Marioshinobi Enterprises : D ))

"We do as we are told because it's all we are given to go on. If we obtain any information to the opposite, then we would follow it. We can't trust information from you because, as we have just seen with OUR OWN EYES, your more foul than you consider us to be. If we are truly wrong, then prove it! For all we know, the images of the people you are showing us below could be from years ago, during the second network crisis (.hacks infection-quarentine). You want us to believe you after you've attacked and injured us? Show us some significant proof. Show us something that will make us believe beyond reasonable doubt. If you have that kind of evidence to back up your claims, then I will, as well as Glace and the others I'm sure, join you in tearing apart this world at it's seems." Chaos said, a dark smile on his face.

You'd hoped that he could eliminate us so that you wouldn't have to deal with us yourself. However, he failed at that attempt... didn't he? So as a result, you have to finish the job yourself. You try to turn us against one another so that we eventually destroy each other, leaving the last one standing for you to either corrupt to your side, or destroy yourself. All in the name of this so called 'perfection' that you believe you are. You carry the name of the first man. After he was created, his creator, God, knew that he was flawed. Did God try to change Adam? Did he try to make Adam perfect? The answer to both questions is No. Instead, he left Adam as he was in order to see how events would play out for his imperfect creation. If there was such an attainable thing as perfection, God would have given it to Adam during his creation." Chaos says as he lifts his face towards the light with a calm look on his face.

"Therefore, seeing as how you yourself are Adam, and Adam was flawed, doesn't that make you flawed by a the mathematical principle of equality? The principle states that if A is equal to B and B is equal to C, then that means that A is equal to C. According to that basic idea of mathmatics, you are just as flawed as us, for you are just like us. How do you respond?" He asks, looking serious as ever. "Hope this works... Chaos thought as he awaited the AI's response.

My eyes died out as Miles fell to the ground. Time stood still. My breathing grew heavily... faster... harder... faster...harder, until it finally set in. Miles, my love, was dead. I remained floating in the air, from Hikaru's ability. I squirmed and squirmed as much as I could. "What do you expect me to do!" I said through teary eyes to everyone. "This is what I was trying to prevent! You call me stupid for trying to kill this thing and end this! What the Hell is the matter with all of you! All you do is stand talking, biding time... and then... she dies... Miles is dead! and every single one of you is to blame! Call me Judas! Call me a snake! I dont care anymore! After this battle is over, I will kill all of you! That is a promise!" I wriggled even harder, hurting my ribcage. "LET ME GO YOU ****! LET ME FIGHT! All you ever do is preach about how good it is to stay calm and plan! How anger and hate get you nowhere... Anger... and Hate... are all powerful emotions!! The most powerful of them! Maybe you need some of that! Why dont I rip what you care about most from you and see if you can concentrate! Focus!" I stopped moving and my voice dropped to a whisper. "...Kira...
