The
wedding event is for fanfare purposes only, really. The OVA will hopefully tie up any loose ends, possibly including Haseo's choice.
The ending of G.U. gives Atoli a small edge against the others, though. However, there is still a chance for more Haseoxsomeone.

so this ova comes out in march then. it would have been nice if they would include it on a disc as a special for pre ordering volume 3. anybody know what media that may come on? will it simply be a disc with a 25 minute episode on it, will it be 60 minutes, we probably don't know that. perhaps an extra in a roots dvd.

can we maybe get some enlarged, cropped pics of the HaseoXAtoli pairing, like on the other threads please?
HaseoXAtoli FTW

Haseo has already stopped moving in the pic, hence he doesn't hug Atoli (And with the wedding event not available until after, I doubt the writers would plan for one, either). Personally, I think Haseo would have left Shino regardless of who. Heck, even Endrance would've prompted Haseo to run after him.
If Shino had invited everyone, and they all ran off to different places, then who he runs after would be meaningful.
I don't mind whether he ends up with Yowkow, Atoli, or heck even Piros, personally. They're all great characters.

Haseo and Piros?
....why Piros, aside from the fact that he breaks the fourth wall by being an insertion of one of the developers?

Eh, I was just implying that he would have left for anyone. Haseo has become that kind of person; he cares for his friends. It is "Grow Up" after all.

it is quite disturbing indeed.
so i'll assume it'll be considered illegal to put the OVA on Youtube(and possibly fansub it lol)?

It is, especially if it's a special DVD which only a few people (whoever have the 3 Jap. games) are allowed to see. But just wait and you'll see it uploaded everywhere...

The will of having everything in the internet will become more than a reality when the Pirates are everywhere... this day will come, but until there.

That's true, but why would anyone else run off? Only Atoli would've, because she thought he didn't need her anymore now that Shino was back. It's blatantly obvious to anyone that actually payed attention to the game that Haseo has feelings for Atoli, and vice-versa, even Shino knew it. It's just a matter of one of them telling the other.

Indeed, nobody else would've ran off, but with Haseo who he is, choosing to run after Atoli didn't have as much weight as some might think, imo.
Personally, even after playing all 3 games (I'm still learning Japanese, but I could understand most scenes almost fully), I don't see those "feelings". Sure, he cares for Atoli as a friend, and wants to protect her as much as his other friends, but she's no closer to Haseo than a number of the other characters, from my perspective.

If he didn't, he could've possibly never seen her again. I don't wanna be overly dramatic, but what if she killed herself? She didn't exactly have that good of a life to begin with. Since parts of the manga that don't directly contradict the games can be considered canon, she also cuts herself. At the very least, she could've stopped logging in.

The only people that I can think of that are closer to him are Ovan and Shino. But, like you said, it's your perspective, so it'd be useless to argue. Hopefully the OVA will have some sort of party/offline meeting to clear it up.

Atoli doesn't cut herselves. -_- She probably would've just stopped logging in.

Chapter 9 of G.U.+ shows scars on her wrist, which later become apparent on her AIDA infected avatar. It doesn't contradict anything in the main storyline, so it can be considered canon.

Actually, it can't be considered canon until we actually see it in the damn games. Furthermore, we know she doesn't cut herself because she's not Shemo.
Oh, by the way, to explain WHY she cuts herself in GU+ and not GU, as the Epitaph User of Innis, the Mirage of Deceit, she has to be eligible. In the games, she was being manipulated by Ovan, Sakaki, and pretty much everyone except Haseo and his friends. However, these plot devices couldn't be used for GU+, so they decided to make her happy outlook on life a mirage and make her all emo and ****.
That and you've gotta consider she was AIDA-infected when she was cutting herself, which intensified her emotions by a hundred-fold. In her sane, uninfected mind, she would never slit herself.

Is Alcor not canon because it isn't shown in the games? What about Cell? Just because it doesn't show it in the games, doesn't mean it isn't canon. Hell, Shino's player was shown in G.U.+ long before she was shown in the game, and she looked exactly the same. The story may be different, but the characters are basically the same.

But...there are a lot of intentional inconsistencies.
I hear that, in GU+, Shino has an Avatar and Kuhn becomes a Lost One. You can say that these apply to them as characteristics, especially the Avatar thing. But those same characteristics are purposely omitted from the game. So there's nothing saying that Atoli can't be a cutter in the NON-canon story, but not a cutter in the actual CANON story.
I mean, think about this. It's like saying Hotaru is really a boy in real life, just because the sound drama, "Let's Meet Offline"--which is very non-canon--says she is. When we know from Firefly that she's a half-Irish girl living in the US.
EDIT: Let's Meet Offline also claims that she's a boy in the game and everyone somehow knew, but Shugo was too dumb to realize it. But we all know that's not true. And it claims that "he" lives in South Dakota, but the canon story says she's from Boston. Just listing examples of how non-canon works will change aspects of the character from what they've already been established as in the canon works. ()

Shino being an Epitaph user and Kuhn becoming a lost one are part of the story, not part of their individual character. I have no problem with it not being canon, but it's one thing that hasn't been proven wrong by the actual story. For example, what if we're not shown Haseo's player in the OVA? Couldn't his appearance in G.U.+ be considered canon? What I'm trying to say is, if it doesn't conflict with the game, it should be considered canon.

See, that's something that we know isn't canon, because it's proven wrong by the canon material. I'm talking about things that
aren't proven wrong by canon material.

Now I get what you're saying, and I see the validity in it. Because it hasn't been disproved by the "real deal," it could still be real. That's a good way to look at it. I was just looking at it a different way--as in, not saying that the story being non-canon means that the character's traits in that story are non-canon, just saying that unless it says so in the
canon story, I don't consider it canon. I tend to look at non-canon stuff as if it's fanfiction for the series and not a real part of the series...which is not always a good thing to do.
