With passers-by, the rule is a bit different. They call him the Terror of Death because they share no familiarity with Haseo.
I agree that Ovan would be called Tri-Edge if people who didn't know him knew what he did. However, Haseo doesn't call him Tri-Edge, not even those who didn't even know him such as Atoli call him Tri-Edge.
Very well, if you start calling Haseo the Terror of Death around the forum, I won't complain about you calling Ovan 'Tri-Edge'.
People who visit the forum might start complaining about the big spoiler/plot twist. So lets just find a solution where everyone can be happy.

Such as... Referring to Ovan and Azure Kite as 'Ovan' and 'Azure Kite' respectively? O.o And maybe not reprimanding people for referring to Azure Kite as 'Tri-Edge' because we all know who they're talking about anyway?
That's the only sensible solution.

"Who calls Haseo the Terror of Death over his actual name?"
You referring to us, the people on the forums, right? Because there was that one dungeon in Volume 2... It was a quest and there were PKers all over it with Negimaru as a boss fight in the end. I think you bring Atoli and Bo. You can't go through that dungeon without hearing "PKK no Haseo" or "Shi no Kyoufu" multiple times. I think the PKers usually refer him to that don't they?

see...they never really call him Haseo cuz of his reputation....but whats really weird is how before Skeith even awakened,he was called the Terror of Death.

Titles aren't self-proclaimed in 'The World'. They are by players. (Matsu's was the Crimson Demon. Given by the PKers who were killed when he used that red sword of his.)
Haseo's was given that title because he caused the PKer's alot of TERROR before thier DEATH. In the sence that Skeith's titles was also "The Terror Of Death" was a coincidence, but showed that he and Skeith were meant to be aligned.

Not sure about G.U.+, but he mentions Haseo's, Atoli's, Pi's, and Kuhn's titles in Vol.2, and Pi comments that it's quite a coincidence that Haseo's was the same as a title he's known by...

It is also the common term used among the players of The World R:2 for the Twin Sword dressed in red with triple-bladed weapons. It is consistently used in both dialogue and narration to refer to that individual in CELL.
On topic: Ah, irony. After all the times I've told people off for saying things like this, welcome to the inside of the Black Box.

As far as Ovan is concerned though, Tri-Edge is his alter ego (at least in the games). If you look at everything through that filter, he's never really lied...
Arg, I wish I had all of G.U.+... The bookstore I usually get it from went out of business before I could get anything past 3, so I guess I'll just go by the game version...
