I started playing my Alliance 60 --old Tier 2-- Priest (with Benediction...which doesnt matter in BC anymore) again when I was playing as my alt druid (Yes, I started playing a druid, to see if I can take the word back about how I hated them) and I started to talk about Karazhan's loot (Light's Justice), and then some person whispered me that his main was in another PVE server and asked me to bring my dead priest into that guild and raid with them to go to Kara.
But seriously, >_> Outland is waaaay different from Azeroth...
I handed in 15 quests, and not even close to 60%.

Lol wow players are spoiled when contrasting against ffxi players. At least we are getting exp from quests, everything is hardcore over there XD.
Bringing me to another point, if you die in wow its really
no big deal that players make it out to be. You lose durability and you can get it back. Its not like losing alot exp XP. The only time I can see that it becomes a problem is when someone is camping your corpse.

if you didnt understand what I said, the
dead priest I was talking about wasn't about XP or durability. It was about
inactivity.
and I've never contrasted FFXI and WoW.
Also Dying IS a problem to people. If you can pay 15-20 gold like Warriors, then good for you.
I've played FFXI too, Quests dont really give EXP down there, but you Party to gain EXP there. And yes, you die by losing EXP in taht game, but not WoW.
I wasn't making ANY point of my priest being dead. I have plenty of money to repair without any complaint, since my professions are farming wise.

I've been thinking about using the following combinations as soon as I get my own account. Critique, anyone?:
Orc Hunter - Orcs get a 5% bonus on pets.
Blood Elf Mage/Paladin? - I'm leaning towards Mage since it seems BElfs Pallies are a bit underpowered
Undead? Rogue - I really want to play a Rogue, but is there a better race (Alliance or Horde, doesn't matter) that gives a Rogue more bonuses or better gameplay?
Not so sure about Tauren and Trolls. Tauren Shamans are pretty cool, but I just hit level 10 and things are a bit rough with level 8 enemies. I might consider a Druid for Tauren instead. I don't know about Trolls...any ideas? By the way, what server do you guys play in?

I did something I never wouldve thought before evar!
This undead lvl 38 priest was being a dick so some of us camped and killed her every chance we got. Finally after 6 successful kills a ?? lock decides to show. So Im like, "Lets go kick his ass". I knew we were gonna get pwned, but hey lets see how far we would get right?
So we ran at him and attacked for a good hour or two. Finally I came up with a stragedy and it worked. We totally butt stroked his undead arse and not once but pwned him twice!
Well after many attempts it was confirmed by another player but that lock is lvl 70. It took awhile but im proud to say if you put your mind to it, you can do anything!
We killed him the first time with only 7 people and the highest was 51 while the lowest was 35. Afterward when I generaled everyone that an easy lvl 70 priest was easy to kill A high lvl nelf hunter and gnome lock came on the scene to help. That lock was also able to confirm that his lvl is 70.
What can I say, I like a good challenge

Wander wrote:Everything is pretty much better on the horde side. Like undead get the ability to eat corpses to gain health. Great for undead rogues.
There's a reason so many Alliance players complain about horde being overpowered. Because they are. Orcs get a 5% pet bonus, and Night Elves get a pathetic 1% to dodge rating. Wow. And Blood Elf paladins get total god mode with their 2 racial abilities, one of which can silence you for 3 seconds and has a cooldown that renders mages and other casters virtually useless in the face of Blood Elves.
WoW doesn't have dick for PvP balance when it comes to horde vs. alliance. If you want to be stronger, join horde.
Its quite impossible to balance the game regardless how hard you try. The only way you can get perfect balance is to have the same race and class fight each other with the same spec.
What I dont get is why they made a 3 tree system which has really put me off this game. Always there is a median and ppl will go for the hardcore specs, which there are almost 2 for each and every class with a slight variation. A 2 tree system would of been much more better and would of allowed new classes to join in but then "blizzard" didnt want the game to turn out like RO which has a very balance class system.

Wander wrote:I fully support the 3 tree system. It works perfectly. However, the problems don't lie in the trees, but the racial bonuses. It's not about what 2 players are specced to do, but what each player is allowed to do. Alliance players aren't allowed to become as powerful as horde players. If you're too weak to fight someone because of your spec...tough luck. That's your fault. But when you're actually not allowed to become as powerful simply because they are an Orc...that's bull.
Every tree has it's uses. Some people just don't understand them all. I have a high level character in the Alliance for every single class *and 2 warriors* and I would know. I could even list 'em.

So you fully support the idea of paying for one half of the game, thats fine and dandy but it isnt the aspect of PVPing that really bothers me, its the problem that the specs doesnt fully support both PVE and PVP which blizzards states, hell we could argue white is black on this subject. However the idea of the trees is to support different playstyles which I dont see in the game, take the Hybrids they suffer the most, since they usually have to spec heal in PVE and DPS in PVP spending gold. I know all trees have there uses but in the end you realise that your paying money out of your pocket to switch spec to play either pvp or pve I would love to stay as a Feral Druid or an Enchancement shaman and still heal well not medicore (still raid).
Edit: The reason I feel this way is because I play the Druid the most and found like 66% of my abilities/spells completely useless, if they produce different forms for each deep spec that adds extra abilities or support some other spells I would probably agree more or less with the 3 tree system. Once you start playing a Druid class you realise how bad the tree system is.
end edit
Hell been following the Test Realm Patch notes, but you must of noticed that some tree are waaaayyy below medicore if you have owned high level characters, for example priests, balance druids and so forth.
In the end the game works even if I say the trees are imbal or the racials are imbal Alliance racials is geared towards PVE and Horde towards PVP.
But stating that the racials are better I have done a run thru the arena in the armoury 10 horde and 4 alliance teams are in top place thus supporting ur racial theory however most of the teams are generally 50/50 in 5v5 arenas across all realms in the top 4 position thus invalid ur theory in PVP, gear really determines ur ability then skill/spec then racials. Look in the armoury for proof..

Wow, that's just sad whoever that 70 was, he really sucks as a priest. Especially even if he's a holy/disc priest, that's still sad. I say he should reroll on his class or something. ((possibly, he's probably account bought or powerleveled)).
His gears look like crap by looking at it too... ugh.

Please don't compare RO with WoW. Especially when that game is 2d and has it's different style of game play , comparing to WoW. >_> that's the worst example you want to compare two games to.

I'm just comparing the class systems not the actual game. I found the RO Class System more solid.
@Wander ......you sure owned me, never seen such a legendary post before.

Isnt still possible that it isnt the stats that make the player? Rather its how the player utilizes how the stats and abilities works for the situation effectively?
commentary by marthwmaster: Your stats only determine the outcome up to a certain point; the game handles the rest.

there isnt a sword such as that dude, >_>;;
The only sword that's capable of doing that is the Artifact items from Private Server. and that's GM items.

Alright, I was reminded in PM of the importance of having a WoW thread. I noticed Rykar started a new one, but it seemed like a smarter idea to delete the offending posts in this one and have it continue.
Just to be clear, I don't -ever- want to see flaming like that again, or things will get very serious very fast.

I was really bored, and I thought of making a gear of my dreams, as a healer of course, and as you can see, I used CTProfiles to pretend that I had these gears hahaha.
http://ctprofiles.net/5310076
no I dont really have them, but it's worth a dream.
+2240 healing, so if I heal 2000-3000 HP (it's just a guess), then it's 4000-5000 HP. But I am sure I can go higher heal than that if I had those gears.
All points into Resto, I think it was pretty clever.
