‘Is that why no one ever understands me when I turn? I thought he… nevermind.’ “Then I’ll let you know. If I can’t talk you’ve gotta listen.” Allen bumped fists with Robert. He closed his eyes and cleared his mind. He could not have a visitor during a combat test. Not again. As long as Billy was there in person, not in voice he could take it. “Robert, I know we need to be in sync, but I’d like to be as small as possible to complete the test. It feels weird being a Kaiju, it’s almost like there’s a second brain in my head. It’s really feral, and if I could have that voice in my head shrunk down and hushed, I think I can succeed.” Each Kaiju’s brain worked differently. They were all a matter of one he at first deemed. However, sharing the minds, they had each developed a personality he noticed. Oliver, James, and Quentin. Oliver was small and full of rage, blind rage that Allen could control. He knew he could target the rage. That was easy, James was bigger, he had only melded once with James; James’ bigger brain held more influence, more clout, but James seemed to like Allen and want the best. James was the least violent, and the most defensive. Moreover, Quentin; Quentin could control Allen completely, which must have been ironic considering the strength of the emotional bond between Robert and Allen at the time. Quentin was a true monster, and a testament to Roberts’s true power. Had Allen activated, he could have spread a wave far across the ocean and infected people far beyond Medusa’s borders. Allen never wanted to have a Quentin sized influence in his mind.
“Zorlo.” Allen extended his hand. “If I activate, you win.” Allen decreed before the battle began. “I can’t activate. If I activated only Robert could stop me, and that would make him susceptible to attack if I deactivate or if I were to… well, I hope you understand I still plan on winning.” ‘I can’t afford to lose. Not after I promised Robert we’d win.’ “Robert!” Allen turned to face Robert and ran up to him, whispering in his ear. “We should Topsy-Turvy in intervals instead of at the start. They know us, and they’re gonna be prepared. But if we mess with their perceptions constantly, both of them will be out of sync.” Allen pulled away and smiled, “We’re gonna win this time.”

Zorlo shrugged as he stood before the boy with a smile. "Okay, I can accept your condition," the man said as a sword of crystalized psionic energy formed. Zorlo shot forwards like a bullet and leveled his sword at Allen. Intentionally, he was a few micrometers off… enough so when he actually attacked, he'd miss. Still, no one but him knew. No one but him had the perception to notice the very slights of things like that.

Allen’s eye narrowed and he just barely managed to dodge the attack. The strike barely nicked his face, and he felt his bandages becoming undone. His hand came up and caught the bandages tearing them off and revealing his second fully functional eye. His eye was never in serious danger of being damaged, and it was healed when he was young. Often, Allen’s mind refused to believe he had his eye and he placed the bandage on to satisfy his head, also seeing as Billy took his eye, and he took Billy’s head, Allen subconsciously felt like he cheated in the confrontation. But now Allen was in the zone. Nothing would distract him. He hoped nothing would distract him. He’s fast. Holy crap he’s fast. I couldn’t even see him come at me. I never remembers him being this fast. I knew it! He could totally be a lancer. “Robert! Release! Please don’t let me kill Zorlo.”

At the command Robert triggered Kaiju, aiming for a small one like his partner had requested. "It's your show." He said and blew So-Hee a kiss before he slowly walked towards her with a smirk on his face, and to keep Zorlo from gleaning anything useful from his head, Robert kept thoughts of So-Hee at the forefront of his mind. Every few steps he switched Topsy-Turvy on/off.

Allen accepted the change, and a huge power welled up deep inside him. His body transmogrified, his head exploded in size, and from his rib-cage two smaller arms shot out. With a deafening roar, Allen completed his monstrous transformation. In Allen’s mind, he felt the creeping presence Oliver provided. Pure rage, not much unlike Father. However, the frail mental incompetence of the mind made this entire process easily. ‘You’re nothing like him Oliver. Now let’s focus on the target.’ Just as fast as Zorlo moved, Oliver’s claw reached out for Zorlo. Oliver was just about 10 feet in size, and while he didn’t dwarf Zorlo, it was apparent that his speed was massively increased. Zorlo was definitely withholding speed however. Oliver understood this greater than Allen had, and his rage increased. Like a savage beast He walked on four limbs as he chased the speeding green bullet- until it made an error. Topsy-turvy is in effect. Reach! Oliver’s claw trapped Zorlo’s presence, though his armor was a shell. Oliver raised Zorlo up high and slammed him into the floor repeatedly. ‘Wait! Calm down a little! I need him alive!’ Oliver’s attacks ceased and he dropped Zorlo, leaving him in the small crater he had created. A ravenous howl filled the air and Allen’s inner mind smirked. ‘Stay down buddy. There’s no way you could be a rage monster like Oliver if my mind’s in here pulling the strings.’ “Murder, Kill, Destory.” The beast lashed out and a claw rushed at Zorlo. Or rather, at the little headless boy it deemed a threat. A yellow and purple hoodie with small purple cargo shorts. ‘Oliver can see him!’ Allen’s sudden realization seemed revolutionary at the moment. ‘Leave it! He’s already dead.’

So-Hee focused, water forming around the area. It was targeting the Kaijuu, forming ice beneath the legs of it. She had to support Zorlo properly, even if it meant crippling her opponent. Especially since it was Robert's power helping Allen.

When he noticed So-Hee focus on Allen, Robert suddenly burst into a sprint and tackled her to the ground with his greater body mass. "Hi there." Robert grabbed her arms and pinned them down. "Well, this gives me a few more things to think about." And he pretty much just let the rest of his body go limp so he lied on top of her so that the dead weight from his three extra years of growth and overall greater appetite kept So-Hee from getting him off of her.

"No… I'm not," Zorlo said as he held his shield overhead, blocking the claws as he skimmed through the fracture that was Allen's mind. "A beast like you could never kill me. I don't mind losing to a man, but a monster? No chance," Zorlo said as his psionic crystal blade shattered and the shards rushed towards Allen.
Rolling backwards, he jettisoned backwards and spin kicked Robert away from So-Hee. "Sorry to put you in danger. Especially from that creep," Zorlo said as his body shuddered… pain… everything hurt. Even his inertial armor did very little to dull the damage the creature had inflicted. His eye twitched as he looked at Allen and began to think. "We need a new plan…" he said with a sigh. Still, no such ideas came to him.
"Any ideas, or should I just look at you until you get an idea to make it less awkward?"

Oliver raised up his arms to block the attack, however with the loss of surface friction due in part to the ice, Oliver slipped on the ice and nearly fell on its face, had it not gripped the floor with its massive forearms. ‘I’m not a monster! Nor am I a beast, inside here is a man!’ “You’re no man I’ve ever seen. A beast describe you perfectly. You’re a monster! I’ve seen what you can do, you pathetic excuse for a life!” Allen’s inner mind grabbed his ears and tried to seal off his father’s voice, ‘Let’s get him!’ Oliver launched itself at the blazing fast green sprite. “You’re a danger to everyone! You should be put down right here, right now.” Oliver searched for the origin of the voice, a faceless man standing at the entrance of the Gymnasium. ‘No! Zorlo is the target! Don’t hurt him! Oliver!’ Oliver turned once more to face his green haired opponent a roar and in an instant, Oliver rushed the pair. Allen’s mind’s eye looked at Robert, making sure he was getting up. ‘Sorry Robert I can’t help you... All Oliver knows is rage, he’d tear you apart…’ Oliver stood over the pair, his smaller arms reached out for Zorlo ‘Remember, just the green one Oliver, finish him off. Do not kill him.’ “Why won’t you face your own father like a man? Did I teach you to turn your back to me?” Allen focused all his thoughts on Zorlo, but his father’s voice only grew louder with each passing second. “Do you think you can stop yourself? You couldn’t control yourself when you everyone who loved you, what chance of control do you think you have over not killing this strange man?” ‘SHUT UP DAD!’ Allen raised his hand and Oliver did as well, its goal was to crush his unflinching and relentless father. Its fist smashed into the ground behind him, his attention was off Zorlo. Allen could not kill his father, and the crater beside his father was a clear indication of his control. ‘Leave now or I will kill you.’ Allen’s resolve was strong. Oliver roared in conformation.

Zorlo had watched the oddness and collected up So-Hee. He floated a few feet in the air and held her with a smile. He had lost his sword and placed his shield on his back. "I'll keep you safe. I promise," he said, his eyes filled with strength. "Even if I die, I won't let you. You're the only connection I have to this world anymore," he stated. The words seemed out of place to her, perhaps. He didn't know, he didn't try to pry into her head to see.
"These two are stronger. Probably stronger than me… but I won't let them harm you. that might give me a little bit of strength. When we're ready, I'll set you down, and you're gonna run, you hear me? You're gonna get the hell out of here! I'm gonna hold them off until I can't anymore," he stated firmly as he held her tightly. "After all, if you die, I'll have failed as your receiver."

"Wheee!" Exclaimed Robert as he bled off momentum by sliding across the ice. "So-Hee, catch!" Robert tossed the pins from a pair of flash bang grenades at the girl. The grenades themselves, one landed in the pair's lap and the other was clinking off the ceiling above them or was it landing on the floor below with Topsy-Turvy it was hard to say for sure. Robert shielded his eyes with his sleeve as the disorienting explosions went off which made Topsy-Turvy even more effective. "Claws Allen, you have claws. Just punch through the ice with them."

'I can't run.' Her eyes looked towards Zorlo for a moment, moving so she was in position to jump down. One hand pushed the grenade that was heading towards them right towards Robert. She looked towards Zorlo with a determined expression. "I can't run when everyone is depending on me." She had wanted to kick Robert off of her, but Zorlo had interfered before she could. There was something she could do. She jumped from his grasp, moving forward as the water formed all around her. She had to take this gamble. If Robert was willing to go forward, then she should do what a Receiver could do if necessary. She formed the largest blast she could, aiming it all for Allen. She had to test how far she could take it. Of course, healing Zorlo would be good too, but he could take one more hit.
The blast looked like a tsunami as she moved forward with it.

Zorlo landed next to her as he watched Robert and Allen, his mind keeping focused on their thoughts. "Remind me to repay you for your braveness in the next world if they somehow win," he said to her before patting her gently on the butt. Like this, his personality was less restricted. He felt more free when he used his powers.
He latched his shield to his arm and prepared for the next series of attacks. HIs Inertial armor shield his physical form very well, but he'd need every bit of it to repel the powerful attacks of their foes. If he could have enhanced his shield, he would have, but no such power existed. He just needed one more Psionic weapon. He closed his eyes and began to gather the weapon into his hand. The crystals formed slowly. He was running out of steam too quickly. He needed more power, but couldn't ask So-Hee for it. He'd draw on his reserve, even if it meant risking damage to his mind.

((I had the massive urge to say it was facing the other way, which would have been awesome, but instead… We need to better orchestrate the effects of Topsy-Turvy with y’all.))
The explosions of light disoriented Oliver, who shielded its eyes with its arms, biding time to regain sight ‘What the hell was that? Neither of the two of them could flash lights so bright.’ Oliver rubs its eyes, and came face to face with a tsunami-sized strike. The beast rushed for So-Hee, but Allen himself changed the target. ‘Attack the green one! The green one is our target.’ Oliver disappeared from sight; it was behind them now. Its roars shook the air itself and forced So-Hee to turn around. Oliver’s hand reached out for Zorlo, who flew out of reach. Without realizing it, Allen had let himself completely forget about So-Hee. She had figured out where she was and where Oliver was. A strike, a powerful blast of water connected with his body and he felt himself crash into the walls of the Gymnasium. Centimeters, no he was even closer than that to reaching for Zorlo. After the initial contact however, Allen cried out. ‘This is battle! Do not freak out! Keep calm, serene.’ Allen reassured himself. Once the water had subsided Oliver stood harmed, but nowhere near incapacitated. The beast rushed Zorlo, who had so kindly done Allen a favor by separating himself from So-Hee. Topsy-turvy worked best with speedsters like Zorlo, a sudden change, even Zorlo’s mind hesitated for a second. Oliver’s forearms reached out for Zorlo, who remained, forming a weapon. ‘He isn’t moving, what’s the plan? He’s making a weapon. This is my chance!’ The monster’s massive claw fished for Zorlo.

Surprise. The cursed inverse had left I'm defenseless. "Not good," He stated as he held his shield up. Spikes erupted from it as the hand reached around and pierced into the hand of Allan that tried to grab him. "This is my last trick," Zorlo stated as he was slammed back first into a nearby wall. Pain surged through every bit of him. His armor began to dissipate and his hair was turning black. THe last flecks of power So-Hee had given him were draining away, and the shattered spikes were proof he had nothing left. He was trapped, and likely about to die.
As long as she's safe… I guess I can live with this, he said as consciousness left his body. He was too tired to move anymore...

When Robert noticed the sign of Zorlo's defeat he reversed the effects of Kaiju. "Ok, that's enough Allen, you won. Come on over here, lie down, and let me fix the damage." Robert walked over to the bleachers and sat down. He turned to the proctor. "Rook takes bishop, but the king will cede the field to the queen. No sense overextending ourselves."

The beast roared as it felt its hand being pierced. Allen himself felt the pain and nearly cried inside his mind. The beast had no time to feel pain. It held its objective in its bloodied hand. The shield was all Allen could see. The beast roared repeatedly, Allen was trying to give Robert the signal. In its hand the shards of weapon were dissipating and its claw were closing in on Zorlo, before they crushed him Robert reverted Allen. Allen’s body shrunk as he held the larger Zorlo in his arms. “Haha! Robert we did it! We won!” Allen handed Zorlo over to So-Hee and ran toward his partner, unashamed at his nudity. Blood dripped from his hand, but it was hardly a wound. Some minor bruising from So-Hee’s tsunami strike covered his body, but Allen was happy. For one of the few times ever, Allen had secured victory. In the stands Lucie and Toni sat. Toni had some food and Lucie waved and gave Allen a V-sign. “I saw the whole thing! You did great.” “Should have crushed your Dad though.” Toni mentioned, continuing his snack. “That’s the part I wanted to see.” Allen shook them off, they were not a problem yet. Just spectators. “So-Hee isn’t just a pretty face.” Allen whispered. “She’s stronger and way more strong-willed than my initial estimates.”

So-Hee lowered to her knees, summoning a wind to heal Zorlo with the last of the strength she had left. The Proctor motioned for a few of the helpers to get the others to walk the one pair to the infirmary. He turned towards the other woman, who announced the next fights. 'Can we risk people who are going to potentially kill their allies out there?' He thought for a moment, taking his mind back to the next battles. 'Still, that is also asking if we can allow a person who would use up their energy like that...'

Zorlo's eyes flashed open as he looked around. Light flooded back into his eyes and the reality he was alive was almost shocking. There'd been pain… a lot of it. He reached onto the nearby table where his glasses sat and he picked them up. One lens was broken… of course it was. He put the glasses on and looked to his side. Even if his wounds had healed… part of his pride hadn't. Even if he wanted Allen to win, So-Hee's involvement… her getting hurt wasn't part of his plan. He sighed and cracked his neck. What to do now?

On the bed beside him, So-Hee was asleep, an IV on her arms seeming to provide energy. A woman was standing next to the bed, seeming to be thinking. Her eyes turned to Zorlo for a moment. "For a Receiver to take more energy from the Provider than necessary is asking to cause problems." She moved to sit on the chair in between the beds. "Unless you want her to die protecting you, you have to learn to do more than just protect her while you try and run away."
