"A little, but I'm not sure how I feel about you using a board game as a metaphor for life," Akima said, "In my family, that sort of thing would have resulted in long harsh lectures which would have left you feeling humbler than a speck of dirt."

As the group entered seal arts room five, the lights of the room came on gradually illuminating the pitch black darkness into which they had stepped. The light in the room was a black light and made the walls look as if they were cracked. The room itself was bigger than it should be and and crimson colored walls. There were numerous Latin writings on the walls. Some of the writing looked even older. The phrases on the walls would shake and change ever so often. Though this in itself was odd, what stood out the most was one simple fact. The words seemed to be alive. they would move around the walls and small whispers could be heard every now and then in different voice pitches. All of a sudden the floor in the center of the room shifted around and a small stone dragon was formed as some of the words flew around it causing it to move. "Are you the team here for the subway mission? Please present your I.D. Badges for confirmation." The dragon disconnected from the floor as a loud snap sound was heard and it hovered in front of the group. "Welcome to seal arts. It's been a while since we last had a visitor. Director Zentas must think you all to be important. If you'd all please take out your badges and point them at me, we will begin." The dragon said as it's eyes started to glow with a faint purple light.

Soran barely made it to the room, he readied his I.D badge when they were asked to.
Meanwhile just outside Soran's office, a young man sat on the couch, "So uh, miss Fran was it?" asked Lloyd as Fran looked at him, "please don't call me miss, I'm still seventeen" replied Fran somewhat embarrassed, "sorry" apologized Lloyd, just a moment ago he was offered a rather odd position by the Chief of security for Division Infinity, one he agreed to, but for now he was told to wait for further instructions while the chief went off to a meeting, "what kind of people am I getting involved with?" thought Lloyd.

"Hey Josh, what do you think dragon tastes like?" Jiles asked semi-seriously as he read the words moving about on the walls. Somebody elbowed him to pull him out of his reverie, and he finally pulled out his badge, though he continued studying the words. He asked absentmindedly, "You can't get rusty, can you? Much as I enjoy swimming, I'd like to not end up in the Hudson just now."

Cato readied his ID to present to the dragon. The sight was a bit intimidating but nevertheless he tried to keep his cool.
After he had prepared his ID he examined the writing on the wall. It was in a language he did not recognize. Though Cato had read several books in his lifetime he had never gotten around to studying foreign languages. He wished he had. He preferred reading about ancient world history as well as myths and folklore. Occasionally he would poke his nose into magic manuals, but he had never tried to practice magic before.
That would soon change however...

(We are waiting on Kai and once he gets here you'll be sent off to the subway. Its understandable you guys are busy with festivities of thanksgiving and black Friday. No rush to reply, but if those of you may talk in character amongst yourselves and ask your mysterious host questions while kai is busy. ^-^)
The dragon rolled it's eyes at Jiles comment about him being rusty and edible. "If you must know Doctor Iselsi, I am not able to be bitten, scratched, or cut. So you won't be able to take any of my powers...besides. I think they would be...a bit much for you."
The dragon smiled. "So you all are the real deal..very well..." The air in the room grew cold as the badges started to glow and a holographic image was projected off them and onto the wall. "However, I'm sure you are one agent short on your team. When he is here...we shall begin. There are many things I have to tell you all about. While we wait, do any of you have questions for me? Judging from your reactions, this is your first time here." The dragon said as it lounged upside down in the air flapping it's stone wings to stay afloat.

Jiles shrugged at the dragon's comment, "Just Jiles is fine, and I think 7-2 off suite is a losing hand when pit against a straight flush, but I can still win. Besides what dad used on me is called gate dragon dna." He gestured around and at the dragon itself. "You are, by some interpretations, a gate dragon. As such, it seems most natural that I would be able to borrow your power rather than say an Octumas's." He returned to reading the walls, "If what you say is true then no, I would not be able to take your powers for my own, but barring certain circumstances I wouldn't try to just take them. But you could probably bestow them upon me if you saw fit, especially since getting a sample of dna need not be violent."
"Exactly how does this whole thing work? Is the setup important or is it just you that is required? And most importantly, what are you called?"

The dragon let out a scratchy laugh. "I suppose I could grant you my powers...however, It's not a burden you want Jiles. Besides..if you tried to steal from me, the result could be rather...unfortunate. I'm not a gate dragon..They were a mistake. If it were not for them and the one they served...things would have been different back then. I'm something which is quite older. My kind was around before this conflict we now face. All you need to know is, you and I fight on the same side. My people watch over what is and what was. In regards to your ability as a Juvenile. All the information Division infinity has on that is in the great library. But truthfully, the one who knows the most about your race is doctor Fielding. If you are able to track him down, you will get your answers Juvenile." The dragon landed in front of the party and looked at Jiles with it's head tilted to one side. "Most others of your kind do not even question why they have such power at their disposal. What made you question your origin..if I may ask.
The dragon was puzzled as it was thinking to itself. What makes Jiles so different? He reminds me a certain agent I met once.....but why? I've seen that same determination before. There was once an agent who had a pair of eyes just like his.

Akima studied the dragon before them. It was not like any dragon she had laid eyes on before. And apparently, only Dr. Fielding knew anything about this particular breed.
"In what way were the gate dragons a mistake?" she asked.

The moment the Dragon mentioned the Great Library he immediately recognized what species it was! He had read about them! For Cato the Great Library was like a second home. But seeing one face to face... It was all too much. He was overcome with a sense of awe, but at the same time it filled him with fear... This creature was truly magnificent!

The dragon stared at Cato and smiled. It spoke into his mind. Your very observant young Octumas. I am a Locos Dragon. Only those with the gift of the mythos are able to understand the book you read about me in.. To all others..it's just a book about quantum physics. But let's not play games...you came on this mission to unlock your potential....didn't you? Do not fear, I mean you no harm. I will be with you on this mission. We will work on some spells as you need them. Just concentrate and visualize us being in the same place. I shall hear your thoughts and I will help you.
The Dragon opened it's eyes and replied to Akima. "The gate dragons were a mistake because they are the children of the bound lord. I am unable to tell you the identity of this man..but know from him came the life of all gate dragons. He is the source of their power." The dragon said as it returned to it's lounging position. It looked at the group waiting for the next question. However, the dragon was also waiting for Jiles to reply.

When the Locos dragon spoke to him it all became clear to him... The chief saw this. This was his way of saying that it was time for him to make his mark on the world. The realization filled him with a sense of confidence. Now he knew he had a contribution to make as the team's magic specialist.
He cleared his mind and responded to the Locos dragon. The words formed in his mind. "I will remember that. I look forward to working with you..."

(Kale, Onimi, when you guys can, reply to the dragon since it answered your questions in a few post earlier. than you can go on.)
As kai help up his I.D The dragon grew slightly larger and hovered in front of the party. "As you are all here, you are now ready." The cards they were holding grew warm and latin runes were scryed onto them. The wall behind the dragon started shaking and it collapsed in on itself. It's form changed until it became a vortex of swirling red and blue light. "You have all been givend clearance to leave now. Once you step through this portal, you will be teleported to lower entrance of the downtown new york subway. Good luck and may the eyes of time watch you. Also yes your allowed a question Joshua." The dragon said as it stared at him.
Don's card was the last to finish being written on. Don smiled and put it back in his coat pocket. Then he took ran through screaming "Allllloooonnnnsy!"

Hayate stared at the gate, gritting his teeth.
If he had to work here to get the son of a **** that had tried to get him put in a cell... so be it.
He headed through.

The dragon was quiet for a moment. "Yes I know your father. He used to go on missions for Division Infinity. Your father was working on a mission which was quite important but for some reason when he disappeared those mission files have gone missing. For the time being there is not a clue as of what his mission was. However, we are looking into it. Someone doesn't want us to find your father. Some of our highest ranking operatives are searching for those files." The dragon reached a claw into it's leg and pulled out a bag. "I think he'd want you to have this though." The dragon handed Joshua a bag. Inside the bag was a pair of red black goggles. They looked rather old and had red and orange lenses on them. They looked as if they were able to let the user see in the dark. The goggles were unusually lightweight and hardly weighed anything at all. There were also runes on the straps of the goggles which were glowing. They glowed with a eerie faint white light.
