It's true that he survives; I'm not so sure about the coma thing. If he does go into it, he comes out of it, because he's awake and by the female Protagonist's side as a love interest when she dies.

He's hospitalized for the rest of the game, save the last scene if you're on a new game+ and pick him.

I broke down and got the PSP game. I dunno if its Persona 3, but it came with a CD of the soundtrack.

Sorry Erranty! That would be a remake of the first persona: Revelations. It has all the religious references revelations took out. Plus philemon has a new rendering and he sounds REALLY bad***. Whenever he speaks you feel as if you can do anything. I also thought how someone could put morals into a game to be cool. You play the game and you walk away from it having learned something. too bad we don't have persona's like the one in the psp game. I'd use it on my sister. She's just so annoying sometimes!

I've decided to stop playing it. Mainly because I picked up playing SMT Imagine (under the same name as here), that and the whole 2D dungeon crawling was annoying as hell. I mean, on a system that when modded can run Xenosaga 1, 2, & 3, making the entire game 2D excluding cutscenes (which obviously don't count) is just terrible, no matter how much content you have.

Er, that's because it's a remake of a mid-90's video game, dude. You're honestly expecting a game that came out in 1996 to compare to freaking Xenosaga?

True.
It's more or less like comparing Beta Player to BluRay...

And I don't consider Xenosaga Episode 1 a game...Just a loooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooong cutscene.

Yeah, but it's not like they haven't spruced up old games before.

Yea, but only douches really expect old games to be updated to current graphical standards so that they'll be "worth playing."

I personally enjoyed it a whole bunch, and it's supposed to be so people who played the original can get the uncensored version.
It's also my first Persona game, and it honestly made me buy P3:FES, P4, and I'm looking forward to P3P ^^
Besides, it's totally worth playing!
Story>Gameplay importance wise

Now for me gameplay is more important than story, if you don't have fun playing the game then its not doing what it was designed for.

Xenosaga hardly counts as "current graphical standards", Digital Devil Saga graphics would've worked, but they could've at least put character models in the scenes you're dungeon crawling in, and maybe changed up the battle music on occasion? I mean, the thing came with a 2 disk soundtrack but the battle music was always the same, EVEN FOR BOSS FIGHTS!

It doesn't really matter anymore, I've already sold it and bought Dalkstalkers and Guilty Gear for the PSP.
