"Thank you," Rayne said as she took the popcicle from Yuri. It had been a long while since she had had one. At least nine or more years, anyways. "You're welcome, Chance. I just hope I can explain it well enough for you."
She followed them to the table and took a seat, taking small licks on her popcicle while she listened to Yuri speak. It was suprising to see how worked up he was at the mention of something that occured so commonly in this day and time. It was a nice suprise, though. At least she knew she wouldn't have to face what was possibly her worst fear about coming into this partnership.
"It's fine. I'm glad to hear you see that as you do, Yuri. Any Reyvateil would be, though, I suppose." She laughed lightly and shifted the popcicle to her other hand, brushing her hair behind her ear with her now-free hand to keep it out of her face.
"Um, what I'm interested in?" Pausing a moment, Rayne thought the quetsion over carefully. "Well, singing, obviouslly, and reading. I like to read whenever I can. Besides that, I guess the only other things that really interest me are traveling and seeing new places, and," She began to blush a light tint of pick, but she finished her sentence with a small hint of embarrassed laughter in her tone. "Dancing."
Rayne paused another moment, licking her popcicle once before asking, "So, um, what about you two? What interests you?"

Sirius sat, his ice cream melting as he chuckled. He wasn't watching Yuri and his two companions, but his mind seemed occupied. "You know, it's rather pathetic, that oath." The man behind the bar chuckled, speaking back.
"You got that right Sirius. I just love how they make these oaths, thinking it'll be fun and good. They'll always protect each other because it's all important to save the world. Like that helped much with the Vahans, villainous for being monsters completely after that stupid incident. All the blame went on them just because they could have done something. You know Sirius, this world gets worse every day."
"Everyone wants to kill another person. To see this world as anything but imperfect would be too idealistic. I wonder if there's even a point if even..." He took a deep breath. "Me getting into Joanna won't help things. She died and that's all I can do about it, which reminds me, what about Lucine?"
"She barely comes out of the woods, word is that she would rather not be seen and given the mark of her family all the time. Can't blame the girl, that entire family got broken apart thanks to what happened by accident. You've seen her I take it?"
"Yeah, a good companion. I'm aware that she is alright with people. Though it seems like those monsters do what they want. She probably doesn't even do much to tame them."
"Which is why it's not their fault."

"Interests? Hm, I don't know." Nobody's ever asked me that before. Always, yelling, do this do that. If it wasn't lessons then it was chores at the orphanage. And the academy was quite a similar. "I guess I like strategy games. The night is pretty nice too, the darkness always seemed to make the field more alive. And reading and learning I suppose, though the majority of the reading was about war, but that was fairly interesting." He licks the popsicle again. "Oh, and I guess I like sweets too. Heh." He sticks the popsicle in his mouth and pulls his sword off his back and begins cleaning it until it returns to it's old dull black color. Good, that blood gave off an annoying sheen.

The area began to darken, a heavy rain falling over anyone not covered by a shelter. "I'm going to take a nap here." Sirius commented, standing up. "Got that room still?"
"Of course." The man opened the door, a room with a small cot there. "Rest up as much as you can."
----
Lucine was asleep, a small monster sleeping in her lap. It looked like a fushion of a dragon and sparrow. It was quite warm.

Derrick stood atop a building, smirking to himself,"it's almost time.. then the one who fell to earth will smile upon me, granting my wish to be reality..." he lifted up his arm,"then I'll catch it and absorb some of it's power for myself... and with it..." he looked back down at the bustling streets below. multiple whirring shurikenades could be seen on the building walls. Derrick chuckled,"and with it.. I'll bring about the death of these unrighteous, ignorant bastards... I'll take my vengeance for what they did ten years ago.. and I'll make it hurt more than they could ever even imagine.. heheheheh..."

Not follow everyone's orders? That's a strange thing to say, especially considering the position he's in, but he seems fairly, what's the word? lazy? No, I know I read it somewhere once. Laid back, I guess. When they arrived at Yuri's house he sets his sword up against the wall next to the door and takes in the train wreck in front of him. Chance had been forced to keep everything spotless in the academy and he was often doing cleaning at the orphanage. This was a shock to say the least. He actually lives like this? I don't know about Rayne, but I'm supposed to be living here now, whenever we're not out on a mission, and I'd rather not live in these conditions. Chance clears off the table and a couple of chairs for Rayne and Yuri and then sets to cleaning, humming.

" Um... Okay then Commander Legalius. Just let me de-morph." He performed a series of handsigns before reverting back to his normal self. Following the commander into a room, he said, " So what's this about?"

"It's really quite alright, Yuri. I don't mind. If you want, though, I don't mind helping out when I can. I can cook, and cleaning doesn't bother me any, so if you want, I could do that for you." Rayne's expression showed a smile, but no hint of shock at the room's condition, and there was a reason for that. Unlike Chase, apparently, she had overheard a few stories about how Yuri was before the ceremony had begun from other knights talking amongst themselves.
She personally didn't listen too deeply to them, as she knew knights, and people in general, to have big mouths about others that they didn't know too well, but she knew that knights rarely were organized in their homes because of their missions, if they didn't live within the castle itself, that was.
"Again, I truely don't mind helping out around here, if you don't mind me doing so, Yuri. Honest."

"Rain stopped, huh?" Sirius spoke from the bed he was currently borrowing. "Must mean that something is up." The owner nodded with a wary eye.
"It never rains unless a terrible omen has come."
----
A man was standing, having removed a sopping wet cloak when the door to the shop open. "You're the one...aren't you?" He nodded without saying another word. "What would the Guardian of the Sacred Goddess want here? To pull off something crazy?"
"You know what monster I desire to use, Vahan."
"One that shouldn't be released. Your predecessor... He was the one that ruined my family, my father, and everything I thought I had become attached to. To want it means you'll have to give me time. That beast, has a seal upon it only I can lift."
"That's why I came. Would you do such a thing? Lucine Vahan? Would you like to end the world?"
"What point is there? It's not like it'd be reborn."
"Think of the peace of mind it'd give you. The Sacred Goddess would truly forgive you. You might be at peace when you die."
"One favor then." The man smiled, nodding. "Destroy this shop while I'm gone. The creatures will turn rabid if hunters come in. I'm on a journey now, if you'll excuse me."
"Will I have that to signal it?" She nodded, picking up all that she needed to move around. A cloak came over her figure, walking out into the woods without fear. After a few moments everything in the shop but the animals were destroyed. The man left the area soon after.

Rayne couldn't help but giggle lightly in reply to his reaction from learning that she could cook. "I'd be glad to cook, Yuri, and cleaning is no problem either."
Following the example from both Chance and Yuri, Rayne began picking up a few things and putting them where it seemed to go within the room. Hearing Yuri's question, Rayne bent down and picked up the book. As she stood again, she began walking over towards him, holding the book in her arms. "Here, Yur-" Rayne paused completely, stopping a few steps away from him. "Is that...A book written in [Hymmnos], Yuri?" Her tone was lowered by a small amount, and surprise was evident within it. If it truely was a book written in [Hymmnos], as the cover suggested, why would a knight have it? She had never seen anyone besides a Reyvateil have anything based around [Hymmnos]. It wasn't as if it were wrong, or anything else of the sort, it was just...different. Rayne was curious.

Yuri: ohh yeah why is it really that weird? I mean it would be weird a knight having a book written in [hymnos] but I guess you can say I find them interesting so I spend most of my spare time reading these types of books ohhh I get it you dont understand how I'm able to read this do you? If you want I can explain but it will probably sound weird well lets see I dont want to bore you but if you really want to know I can explain { he takes the book from here and puts it in the shelf with abunmch of other books written in hymnos}

"I'd love to hear how you can understand them, Yuri. I've never heard of anyone besides Reyvateils being able to read [Hymmnos], much less being able to read them enough to read full books written in it." This was amazing. Rayne couldn't help but wonder how it was he could read them. All Reyvateils were female, as she had been told many times, due to the Y chromosome canceling out the ability to draw song magic from the towers, so that couldn't be it. Was it just possible for a human to study them for so long that they begin picking up on the language itself?
Turning her gaze towards the books for a moment, Rayne began scanning over the spines of them, reading the titles of each book her eyes came across. It was incredible. Looking back to Yuri again, Rayne said, "You don't have to waste your time and tell me how you read them now, if you don't want to, but I truely would love to hear your story sometime. This is the first time I've ever heard of anything like this before, so I'm..Well, I'm curious."

Chance had merely nodded his understanding of Yuri's statement. He was surprised to hear that Yuri didn't know how to cook. Chance himself wasn't exactly great at it, but he could follow a recipe. He kept these thoughts to himself though. But when the topic had turned to [Hymmnos] he couldn't keep his thoughts bottled up any longer. "What's so special about [Hymmnos]? Does it take something special to read it? Or do the Reyvetail's just guard the language so that others can't read it?" It was something he had been curious about. He had never seen any books written in it before although some had mentioned the language. And had just been stacking the books near the shelf as he found them. He stopped now to examine one, flipped it over a few times and opened to what he assumed to be the title page. He ran his hand over the letters, shrugged and shut the book, placing it within Yuri's reach.
He turned to examine the area of the room he had been working on and decided he was satisfied with it. It certainly wouldn't pass at the academy, but it was good enough so he didn't think anybody here would mind much. And it gave a sort of 'homey' feel, a word he had never used to describe anything before. He set down a small blanket and moved his sword into the corner, and removed his armor, to allow greater freedom of movement, setting it on the blanket. He stretched his arms out behind him and tugged at the front of his black tunic. It's a little warm in here, and I seem to have kicked up an awful lot of dust. He moved to a window and with a great deal of force, he thought he was about to break the glass, managed to open it.
