But there isn't any Vocaloid anime, there are just a lot of fanvideos and the Hatsune Miku manga, other than that there is just the upcoming Vocaloid 3, Megurine LukaSINSTAR wrote:Oh but there is and it's really good. =]Rental Daughter wrote:Last I checked there isn't an anime for the vocaloid... I didn't understand all the hype about Code Geass until I saw it. I quickly understood.
I liked R2 just a bit more than the first season, though. And I'll have to copy SIGN also. So...
Code Geass (R2)
.hack//SIGN
Air Gear
Ghost in the Shell (Everything)
Elfen Lied
I am trying to diversify my tastes, though.

Sorry, but I liked the mech fights in R1 better. R2 just killed it with the constant flying, I liked seeing them use wheels like roller blades.Lysendre wrote:I didn't understand all the hype about Code Geass until I saw it. I'm so glad to find other Gurren Lagann enthusiasts!!!!
My top 5:
1. Black Lagoon
2. Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann (Kamina, biggest bad ass of all time, there's even a Facebook group!)
3. Ghost in the Shell
4. Death Note
5. Metropolis
I didn't read every page of this thread, but I'm utterly shocked to discover that no one on the first page even mentioned Metropolis. Best Anime movie, EVER!

Re: Top 5 of all time...
Oh, it's cool, I might even agree with that...but the way the story continued in R2 was amazing and I thought it was brilliant. Though R1 was very satisfying too. The whole nations thing got super interesting in R2.Erranty wrote:Sorry, but I liked the mech fights in R1 better. I dunno. I think the show sorta rolled downhill after they finally showed us Diva.marthwmaster wrote:It's no joke that Blood+ is my favorite, and I'm not even a vampire enthusiast. It's just that damn good. It deserves more love.

2. Gundam (As a whole franchise, minus those ones that I hate with a passion.)
3. ef - a tale of memories (Not melodies unfortunately.)

Re: Top 5 of all time...
In no real order:
Higurashi no Naku Koro ni: Awesome psychological horror that makes you think. I love the chapters and how more pieces of the puzzle fall into place after seeing the next and the next episodes. It's also got a lighter side that's pretty funny (Zombie Tag FTW). It's hard to explain, but I basically love the series. It's disturbing, funny, perplexing, and... uhhh....... awesome. Gah, I wanna see the 3rd season already...
Toradora!: Got into the anime after hearing a friend rant about it on MSN and showing me one of the best anime fight scenes I've ever seen... and these were just two school girls with no powers! The show is hilarious and it has a great plot, and the "drama" is... so... oh god... I just got done with episode 21... T___T If anime characters could get awards for acting, Taiga needs to win at least 5. And the series needs a few for storyline/plot.
Yu Yu Hakusho: I've finally gotten around to seeing all of season 2 and 3, and am anxiously awaiting season 4. Even if it is an older anime, I consider it to be ahead of its time, especially the humor. I really love all the fights in the series and something about Yusuke's "trial" gave me goosebumps due to awesomeness. Seriously... that just f*cking rocked.
Chibi Vampire: Well, more the manga rather than the anime (also known as Karin). It's another romantic comedy (didn't think I'd like the genre, but I guess so) about a vampire girl and a human boy. The characters are being funny or stupid most of the time, but the scenes where the plot really advances are... I guess you could say "powerful". It's hard to praise something when you don't want to give away spoilers. DX
Rurouni Kenshin: DBZ was my first anime, but I think Rurouni Kenshin got me into the whole "anime/manga" thing. The artwork is excellent, the fights are epic, and I thought the storyline was topnotch. I'm a big fan of Nobuhiro Watsuki and I loved Busou Renkin. That could have very well made this list, but... well, he had to wrap it up and I would've loved to see the series go on. Seriously, there were things he did and didn't want to do with the story and I think it had a lot of potential.
--------------------------
And there we go, just had to come rant... mostly about Toradora! cuz I JUST got done with 21. People, go watch it now. And for the record, I prefer the manga version of Rurouni Kenshin and Chibi Vampire over the animes...
