hey everybody, i'm new to both this forum and .hack series, so the term noob fits me a little too well! anyway, i just need to know if .hack series and this forum are fading somehow (which i hope is not true) since i heard some rumours around that .hack series is ending soon? so how's everybody doing these days?? nice to meet you

.Hack might be ending due to the fact that the series its reaching the final conclusion, and CC2 stated that they weren't going to release any more .Hack games, but the series is not fading at all!! Despite their statements they still released a game for iOS/Android called Guilty Dragon, supposedly unrelated to .Hack at first but it does take place in a new version of The World, plus if you play the game and see the characters you'll be thinking of nothing but .Hack. There's also a new novel currently being translated by our awesome members, and perhaps there'll be more extra things to surprise us.
And EVEN if .Hack were to finally end with no more new releases, there's ALOT of material, including 9 games, 2 movies, over 4 anime series and ALOT of mangas and novels, among so much other stuff. So, especially as a new fan, you'll always have something new to discover and enjoy in this series!! :D It's never too late to become a fan either, and even after .Hack is over there'll be more people who end up falling in love with this series, and we'll remain here to spread and share such love!! c:

what a welcome! well, in any case, i hope .hack does end at some point where people feel like theres nothing left to tell, and that they keep making stuff until the release of the real The World mmorpg! so that i may feel like i'm part of the crowd! woo

ending with a bang sounds exactly like i want, is there any more anime series coming? btw, this is kind of trivial, but do we have any japanese fans here on this forum? just somehing i was wondering about a while ago

Yes, you most surely are. And you're very nice and smart for your age, considering other certain young members that don't seem to be able to understand a thing D: Your english is also much better; when i was 13 i wasn't even able to form a proper english sentence XDDD
