sorry,but although it was a dreadful experience for you(apparantly) you have to get over it,and NOT bring personal affairs into this site.

It's just a game man. Just have him get you a new one and problem solved. It isn't like you don'y have enough time to beat it.

It seems beating isn't the problem,because from what I understand the memory card is fine.
As long as you beat it,you are mostly safe until vol 2 comes out,but in terms of replay value,your screwed.
