Don't know...if Endrance was really Elk...why did he change his name then?
I thought that you can't change your nicknames in online games.
Or maybe someone else took over Elk's character or something.

R:1 and R:2 are completly different games all data from R:1 was lost so everyone had to make new characters,(reason why a lot of old chars probably quit) why Elk/Endrace changed his name we will never know.

We know for a fact some characters are the same people under different names.

Like Kuhn or Yata...

added to the fact that the name Elk sound like a helpless deer, he probably wanted a stronger sounding name.

I have a question regarding the usernames of PCs in the game. I can't remember if I asked it before or not, but the Elk/Endrance speculation reminded me of it.

I THINK I read something in Firefly where it says that no two PCs can have the same character name. Which is the significance behind the event that says "What is the one thing there are not two of in The World?" But then...how do plays such as Natsume still have the names of their old characters if their new characters are obviously different PCs from the last? Do the old account names get lost in the transfer to The World: R2, so they're up for grabs again?

I'm not familiar with MMORPGs that much (only played one or two before and quit very soon) so that's why this sounds like a newbish question.

I was asking if the name you had in the first version of The World gets lost when you switch to the second version of The World. Now that I think about it, it makes sense. Your character is gone, so your name should be gone too.

For example, Elk's character is gone, so the name his character had is gone too, so someone else can probably take the name Elk.

Actually,  when Haseo looks for him and finds him, he tells En that he needs him. After some little time, Endrance snaps out of Mia and realizes Haseo is worrying about him and he needs him (because of him being an Epitaph User), so he goes to help him, falls in love with him and stays in the team

Yep, it's the only time he mentions Mia in the whole GU (as i'm concerned).

IMO it's because noone cared about .hack and until now since it has undergone a huge and better change in story,looks, and gameplay. I do still wish a little that you could run around and fight in first-person.

Oh and this place also......this place has been popping up everywhere since G.U. came out. Gamefaqs being one place.
