i'm certain that data drain, no matter what form it takes is just data drain. There is only one data drain and thats data drain, it doesn't matter who acts on it. i suspect that the use and result of data drain are dependent on a persons heart similar to how avatars actions and genetic data make up are dependent on a persons heart.

Dragoon has it right on the dot. The reason Tsukasa's Guardian was relatively harmless is because the Guardian didn't even have a heart, same for AFK. It just effects data and the human consciousness is fine.

Wouldn't that reasoning mean that the Phases in the original games had a heart? Seeing as how they put many players in Comas?

I dont think its a question of to ban them...but if CC has the power to do so with an Xthed Haseo lol.

Since Morganna is the phases and the phases are Morganna, it could be said that Morganna had the heart of a mother who rejected and restrained her daughter. Since Emma and Herold's love did not exist, only Herod's love for Emma; that fact might serve as an explanation as to why Morganna rebelled since thier lovechild was not to be. Herold had already taken that liberty with Aura/Lycoris and had faced the consequences for his actions. That is another story though.
Haseo won't get banned. Honestly, the idea of him getting banned sounds kind of pointless.

Since the Avatars were CC Corp's fault to begin with, and since the job extension is something that was out of his control...no way will he be banned.
Sakaki. Now THERE'S a guy I want to see get banned.
Even though I rather like him.

I think it's clearly obvious what will happen to Haseo's Character.
AF Haseo: RAAAAAAAAAAAAAWRGH. BUY THE SEQUEL, COMING SOON TO PLAYSTATION 3.

Aw, crap, it's an endless cycle!
(But I will so buy that sequel.)
They better go all-out next time and come up with an AF Albireo and an AF Tsukasa.

If they do, please have them driving around Mac Anu in the CC Corp El Camino with hydraulics. I wanted that with Azure Kite and Azure Descendants of Fianna, but CC corp will deny me that.

Who knows, who knows. They could be saving it for the third volume, final cutscene.

. . .I think they're saving that for the \\GIFT equivalent actually. I hope I'm right.
Either that or Azure Kite being caught in a game of Tetris would be amusing to me.

Oh, I never considered the possibility of GU having a GIFT-like sidestory...
Hm...
IMOQ = GU
Liminality = Terminal Disk
GIFT = ?
...They have to match GIFT with something. Whoa.
But I wonder if it will still be a spoof thing as GIFT was, or some other kind of bonus material...

I think Liminality would be Online Jack.

Sh*t, I forgot Online Jack. Shows you how much I LOVE Salvadore Aihara.
...Then what's the Terminal Disk? The Liminality Easter Eggs? I still want a GIFT parallel.

Terminal Disk wouldn't exist without IMOQ, so I guess it doesn't match anything.

I really hope Bandai and CC2 move away from putting the next Dothack series on PS3.
The expense is too much for a system that will only have a couple of series that are any good that are system-exclusive.
I truly hope they switch over to either the XB360 or Wii, (or even PC o_รด) or we could have best case scenario and Sega announces they're coming back into the console business and showcases a badass console with the next .hack series as a Launch title (along with Sonic).

He might, however, lose the Dual Gunner job as well as his Avatar, in order to return The World to its original 'normal' state
*Coff Kite*
yeah this is a little belated...kite didnt get put back into his normal state. the last episode of sign shows him, bulmung and orca fighting either a data bug or just a normal monster that they can't defeat.
