Yeah, these guys were so important to the plot...

Looks at the scan carefully...
Are you sure that sword is the same sword that harold gave to Taihaku. The scan only said it is a AIDA powered sword... and nothing else.
It says that Sakaki some how got hold of the torunament. The white trio is actually sent to kill Haseo by Sakaki. And the text near the lower grids ont he second page hints that Taihaku and Sakai are soemwhat connected (Ignroing Sakai's words fromt he start, overusing the power fo the sword, Taihaku is finally consumed by the evil power).

yeah bc if haseo, pi and kuhn all went avatar mode then one or more would go beserk. but if haseo had to fight all tree at a time that would be sweet. i would guess that hetero would be the main body and the other two would serve as arms but also work independently from each other it would make it one hell of an avatar battle. I stated that awhile ago, Haseo is in black space fighting a sword. Ya it seems that way, I mean Haseo is using a lost weapon... in black space.. fighting a sword..
