i like the music personally, makes the world R:2 seem corrupted and full of evil yet, modern and like the kind of mood the music presents is shared by everyone, not depressing but not perfectly happy either...
Yeah, I agree. The music has the same mix of instruments and feel as .hack//SIGN. It feels like the music got an upgrade too. Whenever I hear it, it reminds me that .hack//ROOTS is the same franchise.
Does anyone know what the name of the song playing during the beginning of episode 6 is? (Why isn't it in the OST?!? )
I wasn't happy with the fact that See-Saw wasn't going to be doing the music. But after listening to the music for a while it rubs off you. Dwindled Bible, GOD DIVA, all of it is great music. I still believe SIGN is better but ALI PROJECT did a great job, I should had never had doubted them.
Im real pleased with the music! I hope they released a second soundtrack, considering how much new music was used after episode 13 that wasnt on the first one.
There'll definitely be a second soundtrack. Most popular animes have at least two soundtracks for every season (or 26 episodes); a lot of times they'll also release a third soundtrack.
.hack//Roots will most likely have three soundtracks. I hope so, I've really fallen in love with the music. "Hakuo Byouto" has such a sad sound, the singer sounds like she's about to cry at certain parts.
I haven't heard all of it, maybe 60% or so. Does amazon.jp or Amazon.com have any sample tracks up? Is/will the OST for sale in the U.S. officially at any point?
I have to agree with the people
whom don't like it. When hearing about it,
I suddenly remembered why I didn't like
anime songs. But then, I had my bud make me
listen to it..stil didn't change my mind.
I'm listening to music from the second OST. It's pretty good! There are even some tracks I havent even heard yet in the anime...but I doubt we'll get a third soundtrack. I think this is pretty much all the music left.
